The Day After

The trip to Missy's house was not the most fun part of my Thanksgiving day but it got better.

Remember Tommy - the guy who introduced me to the leaf blower?   I got to play with him yesterday.  He was there!  It takes me awhile to warm up and trust new peeps.   Tommy was fun as the day went on!

The fire in the fireplace was cozy and warm while we watched Road Diary on Missy's TV.  If you love Bruce Springsteen, you will LOVE this show!

Dinner was great - pork roast with potatoes, broccoli casserole, stuffing, sweet potato casserole, applesauce and salad.    We had one little oopsie.   While Missy was slicing the roast, a huge piece hit the floor and was snatched up and found its way very quickly into my mouth and at the very same time that evil person put her hand down my throat and ripped that slice of pork away from me!  DARN!

One of the best parts for me was hanging out in the kitchen with Missy and getting salad tidbits and jumping up on her lap multiple times.  I sure do love my sissy!

I had a wonderful first Thanksgiving, even when mom and Missy went down into the basement and told me to stay upstairs.  Apparently, there was a kitty litter box down there that they didn't want me to get too friendly with.   I did try to keep my eye on them!

Happy Thanksgiving

Today is my very first Thanksgiving and I will be going with mom to my sissy's house to celebrate!

Yesterday, we made the cheesecake and I was official tasteTester!

Here is the cheesecake just out of the oven~

Missy wanted a strawberry glaze for the topping so that's what we made.   Sadly, mom wouldn't let me taste that.

We went for our late morning walk after the cheesecake came out of the oven~

Being a Good Helper

 We are spending Thanksgiving with my sissy and she has decided to make a pork roast instead of turkey.  I am helping mom to make the applesauce.

The apples have all been chunked up and mom added water and sugar and cinnamon to the pot~

It's steaming and softening the apple chunks~

It's all done and ready to be eaten with the pork roast!

It's perfect, mom.  Another spoonful please!

An Awesome Treat

 Mom had guys blowing leaves here yesterday for three hours!   

Tommy was teasing me with his leaf blower!  He called me a weenie because I was acting scared!

The blowing air was actually fun and I liked it!

Mom doesn't usually pay peeps for work that she can do herself but this Autumn has been a real challenge with the blustery breezes practically every single day and it's almost the end of November and the temps are getting colder.  What a treat it was for her to stand at the window and watch others do her job!

Please let these guys come back every year, mom.  Tommy is fun!

Nature Friday

We had a good soaking rain yesterday, which we really needed.  It rained all day and it's still raining this morning!  Hopefully, the leaves on the Red Maple will fall so mom can get them raked up before Thanksgiving.

Warm Coat Wednesday

 I know that my mom is a bit nutty but she loved the coat that Molly wore so one day awhile back, she went shopping on Ebay and found one that would fit me.   Molly's coat was an XL and mine is a Medium.  The coat is actually called a Molly Canine coat!

This morning, temps were around 30 degrees with a steady breeze and because I still have my puppy coat, mom thought today would be a good day to wear a coat on our morning walk.

I love my new coat as Molly loved hers♥
