Each morning mom packed the truck with muffins and bagels and apple turnovers and cinnamon rolls and orange juice and we never even got to sniff or taste a thing! All of these delicious snacks left the house and never returned! Last night dad came home dragging his butt like he does every year but still feeling very fulfilled to have taught 30 new and excited men and women to timber frame!
Guess what he brought home with him? PIZZA! OMG, we missed you so much, dad! Thank you for thinking of us! When do we eat?!
Mom broke out the pizza for lunch today! OMG, I'm in Heaven!
My turn, Maggie! You can't have it all! Mom says that I'm being much more polite than you are today!
Is there any more, mom? I'm starving to death!
This pizza is sooooooooooooo yummy! Mom says that this kind is eggplant and she's thinking the other pieces are artichoke! Keep it comin', mom!
Don't you just love TimberFrame weekend, Mitch?! Wait till you hear what else happens! Last year you were too young to get the full effect!
Today is what dad calls the Tour of Barns day! These students come to our house and see dad's workshop and tour our barns and eat more snacks! Today is one of my favorite days in the whole entire year! You see, dad bought 3 dozen Dunkin donuts this morning for coffee time and mom and I can't wait to head outside when the students leave to tour other barns that the Northford TimberFramers have raised in our area. We want to see if these piglets left us any edible donuts so we can have our own pawty! Mom says that for once clean up is a blast!
It's now 1:30 PM and the students have left to tour other barns! whoooohooooooooooo! Time to clean up, mom! OMG - HURRY!!!!
Holy Moley! Have a look at this puppy! This will feed me and Mitch for an entire year! I'm checking for crumbs!
Bagels too??!! After eating all this good stuff do you think we'll still have room for our dindin?! YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!What a day this has been! Do we really have to wait a whole year for this day to come around again?!
So until next time....................
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

Okay Maggie and Mitch...tell me the truth; Did you guys have a bad tummy ache after that feast? My Mama refuses to give me any kind of yummy human food like that because she claims it will make me sick. I never believed it one bit, and now you guys have just proven to me that she is lying. You lucky dogs! I bet it was super yummy!

I think that day is better than Christmas! Well, maybe not, but a very close second!!! You should convince your Dad to teach that class every month! Think of all the doughnuts you could eat then - I mean all the men and women he could teach then!
ReplyDeleteKaos

ReplyDeleteHi, Maggie and Mitch -
ReplyDeleteWe are relatively new to blogging and wanted to stop over and say hello.
Where in Connecticut is Northford? Mama, Papa and I (Hershey) live in southeastern CT. We live in the "submarine capital of the world."
Kaci lives in New Hampshire with her Mama (Papa's Mama).
Love -
Hershey and Kaci
P.S. Do you really get all of that food? Mama says that I (Hershey) don't eat a lot and am always on a boycott. I'd rather eat dirt, leaves, rocks and especially sticks. Kaci likes the food (she will eat my food if I let her).
Wow.... that is some great looking food. That is why we like going to agility trials, sometimes Mother gives us very special treats when we do well, or even if we don't. But, it is never what we get at any other time.
ReplyDeleteCan I come for some holidays ?....miam miam..pizza..donuts...miam miam...
ReplyDeleteKisses, Faya
Donuts and pizza? Ohhhhh! I definitely have to ask my mom about those!!
