Wheelie Wednesday - Quilting and Repair

Hi everybody! It's me, Autumn, and it's my turn to blog!

I have to let you all know that mom is doing a special rush job for the Airedale quilting bee! Three of the ladies who sew for the bee had problems making the deadline because of other committments and mom stepped up and said that she'd help out, so while mom is busy sewing her block I thought I'd show you some of the mini-quilts that I have made! I sew too, ya know!

This is me at my sewing machine! The quilt that I'm currently working on is a carrot theme and I made it because Maggie is so nutty over Mr. Carrot! I sure hope she likes it although I think it will only cover her paw! The quilt behind me hanging on the wall is a mini-Amish quilt!

This one I made for the kitchen table! I used a heart theme because my dad is a heart transplant recipient! This runner is very long so I sorta had to bunch it up to get the whole thing in the picture!

This next one is all Airedale heads! It was so much fun to do! The wooden Airedale head on the wall is called intarsia and I didn't do that. A lady named Barbara Curtiss made it. Barbara Curtiss is my friend at New England Airedale Rescue! Doesn't she do beautiful work!
This is another one that I've made! This one is a real mini mini! It's another Amish design!

Now I need to tell you a distressing story! See this little needle felted bear? His name is Oatmeal! Well, somehow his tummy got split open and all of his stuffing is coming out! He's not feeling too well so he's resting. I told him that I would help him out and sew him back up and make him as good as new!

I asked Mitch if he knew anything about this most unfortunate accident and he said no! I think he's telling the truth, don't you? His eyes do look honest!

So then I asked Maggie if she had any valuable information and she just gave me a kiss and told me how badly she felt! I don't think she did it either!

Nobody seems to know what happened to Oatmeal but he's looking and feeling awful so it's time for me to get behind my sewing machine and help him out!

Don't worry Oatmeal! I'll help you!

See you all next Wednesday!

I gotta tell you, Maggie and Mitch ... they are awefully good at keeping up with everyone on this blogger, and they are so nice! Woohoo! Go Terriers!

I think one of those black and tans did it. You need to get dental matching to find out who it was.

GORGEOUS quilts! The first quilt our mom made was in the Amish style!
I'm suuuuuuuuuuuuure Mitch had nothing to do with that little bear's unfortunate condition. Really.

Gosh, I sure hope Oatmeal is okay. Its awefully kind of you to help him out. I think Maggie and Mitch are telling the truth. They had nothing to do with it. IF you have any Scary Eye Photo's be sure and let me know so you can be in the contest my mum is having....Usually we have scary eyes when our humans take pictures of us and the flash is on...some we have gotten are quite scary.
Paw hugs to both of you

You are one talented wheelie. Our mother sews, too and makes thing for the house and for us. ok

I think Oatmeal ate too much pizza and blew up. Maggie and Mitch didn't have a thing to do with it!

We hope you can fix Oatmeal up good as new. If you need help, call Dr. Snitchybug, maybe she can give advice over the phone.

We LOVE the quilts, exspecially the tiny ones that you made all by yourself! You are such a talented wheelie.

And re: who split Oatmeal up the middle. We have been retained as counsel and cannot comment.

You are one talented pup! I love your quilts.

Not only are you talented, but you are also such a kindhearted wheelie. Oatmeal is lucky to have a buddy like you who is also a whiz with a needle and thread.

Hope he's feeling better soon.

Give your mama extra goob smooches for helping out so much with the Airedale REscue quilt. She's a peach! mmmmm mmmmm... peach...

Yikes sure do have your paws full with all that stuff you are working on! I sure hope you can fix Oatmeal. And I love Mitch and all, but I have a feeling he might know more than he is letting on!

Good Luck! Lots of Licks, Ruby

You are a surgeon and don't even realize it. Oatmeal will of course have to have some rehab, but he will come back almost as good as new. I think that type of bear is known for having an exploding stomach.
Your quilts are lovely. Grammie admires people who quilt. She says, "Moco (she talks to me a lot) they are works of art."

Your quilts are beautiful! Mom wishes she had learned to quilt. Her Mom was pretty good at sewing and quilting but didn't have the patience to show Mom how to do that stuff. She's thinking about trying to learn on her own though with the help of my grandma and maybe a little over the phone encouragement from Mom's grandma.

OMG ... All I can say is THAT IS AWESOME!!!!

Autumn to the rescue! I'm sure Oatmeal is so very grateful to have you restore him back to good health.

Those quilts are lovely. I especially like the one with the hearts because your dad is a heart transplant recipient. That is so cool.

Hi! Autumn, those little quilts. They are very cute!
How is Oatmeal doing now? were you able to fix him up? I am sure Mitch and Maggie were telling the true. Those stuff animals sometimes just split open on their own, mine do that too!

Oh Autumn, poor Oatmeal! Bet he has a really bad tummy ache. Hmmmmmm, someone must be guilty over at your house, but who is it?? Your quilts are so lovely. Mama hasn't taught us how to quilt yet, wonder why?? She's still reading up on the needle felting so she hasn't started her first wirey kid yet. She's hoping after this garage sale stuff is over that she'll be able to get started. Now take good care of Oatmeal & fix his tummy up ok??

Good evening magie.
It is a wonderful quilting.
And, Airedale designs lovely.
The tip of a finger is dexterous, envied, and the quilting is difficult for me.
And, the assistant of magie seems to increase the number of needlework things. :)
