Wheelie Wednesday - Christmas Eve

Hi everybody! It's me, Autumn!Mom and I are only making 2 different kinds of cookies this year because the only people coming to our house on Christmas day are Missy and Jim (my sissy and her hubby) and mom doesn't want to overdo it because she knows who'll end up eating all of the leftover cookies!

The first batch of Peanut Blossom cookies have just come out of the oven! My gram always cools cookies on newspaper and naturally mom does the same thing! How many other moms use newpaper to cool your holiday cookies on?

Check out this cool potholder that gram gave mom! It's a goat! Isn't he cute?!

What big teefies you have, Mr. Goat! I can see cookies down there in your tummy! Hello down there!
Mitch was being most helpful today! He pre-washed the mixer beater for mom! You can see Maggie in the background waiting for her turn!

The other cookie recipe we baked were the Russian Tea Cakes! Dad calls them Butterballs because that's what his mom always called them. It's the exact same recipe - just a different name!

The cookies are done and I've made a plate for Santa! I just need to pour him a nice tall glass of cold milk tonight so that when he slides down our chimney to leave Maggie and Mitch pressies he'll have a nice snack to tide him over till he stops at the next house! No snitchin', Miss Maggie! You have to be a good girl! Santa is still watching, ya know!

Merry Christmas, everyone! We hope Santa brings you everything on your Christmas list!

See you all next Wednesday!

Love, Autumn

Your cookies look yummy! Our mom didn't make either of those kinds, this year. She found some Hershey's raspberry thingys and she used them in place of chocolate chips. She says they are really yummy. We wouldn't know since the raspberry filling is covered in dark none for us!

Merry Christmas to all of you!

Hi Maggie, Mitch, and Autumn! I just thought I'd stop by your blog and visit you, and oh my gosh, I have to tell you - your blog is making me hungry! I said to my mom - "Where's my Idahoan pizza, cranberry bread, and peanut butter cookies? No wonder I'm eating flowers in the back yard!" I can't wait to stop by again and see what you're eating. Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas! Your cookies look great and I've never heard of using newspapers to cool cookies. It sounds like a good idea, cookie edges falling through the wire cooling racks.

Dad makes those firstcookies but with pecans instead of peanuts. He still uses the big chocolate drop, though. We got a little snow but it's mostly rain and mud.
