Christmas Ornies from Putter

Our goodest and bestest friend, Putter, sent us a Christmas package and told us that we had to open it at once!
Okay - who would want to argue with that, right?!

She gave me a dog dish Christmas tree ornament with a dangling bone and it says, "Maggie, the best Airegirl"!
OMG, thank you so very much, Putter! I absolutely love my Christmas ornie!
Mitch got one too and his says, "Mitch, the best Aireboy" hummmmmmm
Putter even sent ornies to mom and dad! Awwwwwwwwww, you are so thoughtful and much too generous, Putter!
Mom and dad are elves!
You have an "in" with Santa now, right?!
They look just beautiful on our tree! Thank you so very much, Putter! You are so sweet!
Last night mom and dad went to a neighborhood pawty and guess who wasn't invited? Where's the Christmas spirit when it comes to us doggies?

Mom made her famous stuffed celery to take.
The recipe is 8 ounces of cream cheese (softened to room temp), approx 1/2 cup of crumbled blue cheese and 1 small can of small shrimp ( same size as a small can of tuna). Cream these 3 ingredients together. Then sprinkle in a few shakes of onion powder or onion salt, a generous squeeze of lemon juice and a few shakes of Worcestershire sauce. Mix this all together until well blended and stuff the celery. Sprinkle with paprika and refrigerate. Easy peasy!

We helped out and got rewarded!
So until next time......................

Love ya lots,

Maggie and Mitch

PS our mum said to tell you that of all those ornaments the basset with the ears in the air is the only one she has bought herself!
She just couldn't resist it and interestingly, from the comments, it seems to be everyone's favourite - these doggie people must have a lot in common!

  4. How sweet of Putter. And now we know our Mom must wear elf socks because her favorite socks are red and white stripped - (we thought they were witch socks)

And thanks for the recipe. Mom has to send a snack with Dad to school on Thursday and she thinks this is what she'll send. Do you think that frozen shrimp would work OK if she just dices it up?

  6. M&M,
You need to up the ante a bit. Celery? Not much of a treat. I hope you got some of the cream cheeses too.

What thoughtful gifts. They look great on your tree. PeeWee broke the stocking you sent us, but momma managed to attach it to our tree anyway, right up next to our Grandpa Angus airedale.

  7. Oh yum. But we think we like our celery better when muzzer stuffs it with peanut butter mixed with anchovy paste (just a little for zip). And of course, we make sure she takes the strings off first.

What a lovely present from putter to your family. Nothing carrys the meaning of Christmas like personalized gifts. Too bad y'all didn't get to go to the neighborhood party; canine discrimination.
