Hi everyone! It's me, Autumn! The garden is fabulous this week! All of the plants are beginning to bloom and there is so much color everywhere you look! The lupines are doing so well this year and there are tons of baby plants on the ground waiting to grow bigger and hopefully next year they'll bloom! Mom bought a yellow one last year hoping to have a yellow flower in the lupine mix but either the plant died or it's an off year for yellow?Hello, garden kitty! Is the catnip making you happy? I can see you smiling as you stretch out! That's the Gas Plant right in front of my nose! Mom has heard that if you light a match over the top of this plant, it will ignite. She's never tried it though. The orange Oriental poppies are blooming! whooooohooooooooo
It's our very favorite flower in the garden! What a striking color next to purple!Even Maggie and Mitch got their pictures taken in front of the garden! Turn around, Mitch! We want to see your handsome face!See you all next Wednesday!
Love,
Autumn

What a lovely garden Autumn, lots of colour. Pity about your yellow lupines - we are always trying to get a mix of colours too.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason we have never tried lupines but they do look pretty and tall.
The oriental poppies were our favourites - well apart from the front of Maggie and the back of Mitch!
Our mum is always saying if only the two of you could look the same way for once!

ReplyDeleteOur mom said she would love to try to grow some of your Jack in the Pulpits, if it's not trouble! Your mom is very, very kind!

Thanks for the lovely tour, Autumn. It was so good to see you in your beautiful garden. Maybe the yellow lupine is just a late bloomer. The different shades of purple and pink are just gorgeous even without the yellow.

Oh, what a beautiful garden! I'm a little worried about that "gas plant" though. I wouldn't inhale too deep if I were you, Autumn! You'll think there's a Frenchie hiding in your graden (we are a gaseous lot). BOL!
ReplyDeleteSnorts-

We love your lupins so much and are so envious of them. Ours got attacked by black fly and then slugs so are looking a bit miserable!
