This is what the end of our driveway looked like yesterday before dad got the snowblower out. We got 2 feet of snow! It's a 4 foot jump to get down to the street.
Can you see that the snow is up to my belly?!
The wind whipped and blew all night on Wednesday night and there were drifts everywhere. It's pretty but 2 feet on top of 3 feet makes 5 feet and mom and dad are having a hard time finding spots to put all of this white stuff!
Can you see the pile on top of our front porch roof? We are crossing our paws that it doesn't collapse!
The snowy handle on the barn door is normally 4 foot off the ground~Can you see the pile on top of our front porch roof? We are crossing our paws that it doesn't collapse!
I finally got to come out to pee and poo! When mom brought us out at 4AM we had to PUSH our way out of the back door. We were literally snowed in! I didn't get too far off the back porch before I toppled over in the snow. It was just too deep for my liking, being the senior girlie that I am!
Thanks for the walkie trench, dad. It makes it much easier for me~
That's our wisteria under that huge pile of snow~
Does anybody need or want any snow?
Let us know - we have LOTS of it to share!
So until next time..................
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Aw, Dad is so nice to make the walkie trench for you!
ReplyDeleteI would love some snow! Send some over to Singapore, please???
Woofs,
Pepsi
It might be a pain, but it IS beautiful. We'd be completely buried in all that snow. We'd definitely need a trench or tunnel.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella
We think it is cool that you had some black swans.
Oh my goodness, that is certainly some snow you have there - very much like ours a couple of weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteWe were very worried that our conservatory roof would collapse under the weight so paws crossed for your porch.
Having said that it really is beautiful!!!!
You can keep it though - after six weeks the novelty does wear off.

Hey M&M,
ReplyDeleteWell look at the bright side, you'll be able to have a 4th of July snowman building contest. It took our dad 4 hours to get home from work Wednesday night and we were snow/iced in yesterday morning. Sometimes you can have too much of a good thing. OBTW, this is all the fault of the dogs at Golden Pines.

ReplyDeleteShe thought that was furry nice of woo!

Hugz&Khysses,
Khyra
PeeEssWoo: Paws khrossed fur no damages
Watch out for collecting snowballs in your furs. I know how annoying that can be for you wiry haired doggies.
ReplyDeleteThis snow is absurd. Momma keeps looking out the window and shaking her head because she cannot believe it.
Slobbers,
Mango
Oh my! I complain, but I don't have that much snow to complain about. It's supposed to get up to 37 tomorrow, so maybe some will melt away. I hope your porch doesn't collapse. Hubby used to live near Syracuse, New York. His kitchen roof caved in the last winter he lived there. I think that's why it was the last winter he lived there.
ReplyDeleteOMD, we thought we had lots of snow. You win.
ReplyDeleteMom had to hire someone to take the snow off of our roof this week.
It does look beautiful.
Love Ruby & Penny
If we had that much snow, in the Atlanta area, we would be shut down until summer! It IS very pretty, but it has reminded our mom of the main reason she won't move back to Ohio, where her whole family lives!
ReplyDeleteThat was very nice of your dad to make a path for you!
Aire-hugs,
Penny & Patches
Is there a snow competition? It seems everybody is getting more snow than each other over the days!
ReplyDeleteHope it's not too cold for you all though!
That is bootiful! But a true Bitch. I'll bet me and Teka would both be lost pretty quickly.
ReplyDeletekisses
gussie
We would love some of your snow Maggie. It must be so hard to walk in it when it is that deep. If you sent some to us though it would probably melt fast because it is going to be 56 degrees here tomorrow. Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteYour friends,
Niamh & Ambrose
That really is a lot of snow but my dogness, is sure does look pretty. I hope your roofs will be okay, we saw on the news last night that in some places they were collapsing under the weight. And you be careful Miss Maggie, we don't want you slipping and hurting yourself.
ReplyDeleteYes--send some snow my way!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I would be buried till spring:(
ReplyDeleteYou can keep your snow. We like to look at the pretty pictures but we don't want any snow here!!! We have a beautiful day here today. It is suppose to get up to 60 degrees!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe daffodils will be coming up if it stays so nice and warm!! We are really looking forward to Spring!!
xx, Bambi & Fern
Nows dat is just a ridiculous amount of snow! But, Oh my it is just beeeeeeautifuls...and annoying. Can't win fur loosing.
ReplyDeleteYa'll be carefuls and stay warm.
Puddles
Wow that's a lot of snow. I'm not sure that I could get through that without a trench being dug for me. One good thing would be that my mom and dad could spot me because I have black fur.
ReplyDeleteWe're raising our paws - we'll take a foot or so of it!!
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh and Ruairi
Yes, yes, yes!!! We want some snow. It's in the 50s here and all we have is mud to play in. Please send us all your extra snow.
ReplyDeleteMorgan, Tsar and the Porties
Woof! Woof! Lots of SNOW!!! no snow here ... its just cloudy n cold. Be safe. Lots of Golden Woofs, sugar
ReplyDeleteWhoa!! That's a lot of snow!!! Stay warm and safe!!! We didn't get any except cold winds again. We don't want anymore this year either. Last time I said that was in 1992 or 1993 in March when we got a couple feet of it which toppled a big tree on top of my car! It's pretty but not when you have a tree on your car! Lots of love, Debbie and Holly
ReplyDeleteHi Maggie and Mitch,
ReplyDeleteWell, we'll have to pass on your kind and generous offer of the snow... but thanks for showing us those beautiful pictures! It's a lot of hard work digging out from such a storm-maybe your Mom and Dad will be able to relax and drink some hot chocolate today...
Oh my word......how beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLoving your new picture at the top........
I want some snow, Maggie and Mitch!
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is it's a good thing that Airedales have long legs. Otherwise we would not have seen either of you in any of those pictures! Well, maybe the tops of your tipped ears, kinda like that shark in the movie. Da-Duh, Da-Duh, Da-Duh...
ReplyDeleteHappy Tails,
William Tell
What a great dad you have doing all the snow blowing. WE haven;t gotten a lot of snow in a while...Hope you get some sunshine soon.
ReplyDeleteWe can't believe all the snow every buddy has. Don't get lost in that stuff or you will look like Francesca
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Oh my dogness! Oh my dogness! That is the most snow I have ever seen in my whole entire life! Gosh! That's KER-AZY! And yes, please. We need some snow here. Uh, but you don't have to send me ALL of it.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you were able to make it to my Commentathon with all that snow. Did you take a sleigh? Well, I hope you know how very thankful I am that you came by to visit!
Wiggles & Wags,
mayzie
We are getting another shipment right now. I will make sure to take you off the list....looks like you have plenty! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLovely views but I can see that it is completely overwhelming! The East Coast has gotten way too much snow this season. I will hope that is the end of it for you and that it melts quickly. Your home and property are so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteI too dig paths for my dogs in snow. It makes for easier poopsicle pickup too.
Thankfully it is Friday so folks can have a chance to get all dug out over the weekend. Take it easy.... xoxo
Brrrrr. We keep all our snow up in the mountains and just visit it once in a while.
ReplyDeleteWoW you guys did gets lots more snow! Mom says we was lucky dis time cuz we gots nuttin, not even a flake from da latest storm :(
ReplyDeleteWoofs and Licks,
Maggie Mae
hi m & m... the humomm is back with gracie.. and we have lots of snow too! you want some of ours to fill in any low spots? we got a path in the snow too.. it goes out and around and around and around... dizzy dizzy.. you look like you had fun in the snows.. the next storm may drop enough snow to cover the barn!!! we don't have any more places to put the snow... so the humans have made huge snow mountains... d
ReplyDeleteYou have shared your beautiful home with us through all the seasons, spring, summer, autumn, and winter,, but we have never seen snow like this!
ReplyDeleteI know its beautiful-- but seems like it would be a little overwhelming. We sometimes worry about our roof caving in.
I bet you do too.. Worry kinda takes the beauty away.
Be safe

tweedles
Yes pleez. Send to Wyatt and Stanzie, in balmy 50 degree, Oregon City!!
ReplyDeleteThank You,

ReplyDeleteSee Yea George xxx
Looks like it's time to hitch up and learn to pull a sled. I know a lady who does this with Airedales--about half a dozen of them!
ReplyDeleteMaggie and Mitch!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of snow!
OMD! I hope it melts soon!
Take care
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
does your dad have to dig some snow out from under you so you can go potty? that's a lot of snow. you can send some to us. we only have rain here and we're tired of it. our human is tired of mud. the snow looks so nice and clean. it's really pretty, but you're probably thinking that enough is enough!
ReplyDeletewoofs
That's like a volume for the entire year, a lil too much. I'm so sorry for your cold feet and roofies. Let's hope that this is the final biggest.
ReplyDeleteOMD, Maggie and Mitch! It's a beautiful white world!!!
ReplyDeleteMomo & Pinot xoxo
Oh my, that is a lot of snow. It looks beautiful, especially on your house. But we can see how annoying it would be having it that deep.
ReplyDeleteHolly & Zac love playing in it, but that would be too deep for them to do much in it.
We hope it melts away soon, we would say we would like some but the humans of the household would be quite happy not getting any. It sure looks beautiful though.
You guys be careful in it!
Happy Sunday. :)
Holy Toledo! What terrific snow pics!! You can send us a truckload here in Phoenix. We miss the snow like crazy.
ReplyDeleteSmooches from pooches,
BabyRD & Hootie
ps-Are you biting Mitches tail in that last photo?? BOL.
That sure is a heap of snow! It must be hard for you to deal with. I've never thought about it before, seeing we don't get snow, but I wonder where it all goes? Does it soak into the ground, or what?
ReplyDeleteOMD it is beautiful!Gorgeous pictures!
ReplyDeletePrincess Kisses

SO JEALOUS of your snow! It's 70 degrees down here and I'm pretty sure that the sun is scaring the snow away. I'm a way bigger fan of show than these silly sunny days. Make sure you get in enough snow plays and snow feastings for me!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! Send the snow on over here :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, but can imagine it is quite a job to keep things plowed!! I'm a good snow trailblazer, just say the word, and I'll zoomie over!
Sweet hugs,
Sierra Rose
Thanks for the explanation about where the snow can go. When It's super hot here, I think snow sounds lovely, but now I'm thinking I'd rather not have any!
ReplyDeleteYour house and barn look beautiful all covered up in the snow. And of course, you fit right in!
ReplyDeleteWould love to have a mongrel around in that...
Boy, look at all that snow!! I wish we got snow so I could try it out!
ReplyDeleteWoofs & hugs,
~Bailey
WOW! That is way too much snow. It sure does look mighty beautiful at your home though. Glad dad dug you a trench Maggie. Dad had to do that today for ol' Molly girl.
ReplyDeleteDon't get lost in all that snow and I'll keep my paws crossed that no roof collapse.
Love,
Rudy
