My Maggie's Portrait

As you all know, My Maggie won Reader's Choice award for MangoMinster.   Her prize was a gift certificate  from Sammie and Avalon to have her portrait painted by P.A.W.S. Painter.

The portrait arrived on Wednesday.  It's so beautiful and we absolutely love it and we can't wait to frame it and hang it in the perfect spot!

Thank you so very much Sammie and Avalon and thank you so much Pat at P.A.W.S painter.    What a treat to have this gorgeous work of art in our home forever and ever to remind us of our precious girl!

The AireStuffie in my header photo is Margaret.  Barney and Storm's mom, Miss Linda, made her for mom a couple of years ago.  We mailed Miss Linda some of My Maggie's fur and her fur was knitted in with the yarn so a part of  My Maggie is in Margaret.

When mom first got Margaret, she smelled just like My Maggie but mom never wrapped her up - she left her out so that she could enjoy her and now she says that Margaret has lost her Maggie scent.
This is not true!  I can smell My Maggie on Margaret, mom.  She's here with us forever and ever.

Love ya lots,
Mitch

  17. Big, hairy lump in my throat. Love the new blog title too. Sissy still calls Mugsy "My Mugsy" too, and gets very upset when the Knight in jest calls Gg "Mugsy". (Generally while Gg is licking her feet, destuffing a toy, etc.)

  18. Oh our last comment disappeared! We just love the portrait, very beautiful, just like Maggie. That was such a nice gift to receive and we know it will be treasured.
As for the smell, well humans have such an inferior sense of smell. You will just have to convince your mom that you will smell Maggie's scent forever.
