The Special Penny

On Saturday morning, mom and I ran an errand together  and as we were returning to our car, we glanced down and there was a pretty shiny penny right at our feet.
Mom picked it up and put it in her pocket for good luck.
A day later, she remembered the penny and took it out of her pocket to look at the issue year.   The year on the penny is 1998 - the year that angel Maggie was born!
I know for sure now that angel Maggie arranged and approves of me living with my new family.  There is no doubt in my mind!
Thank you, angel Maggie.  I can tell you that there isn't a day that goes by that your name isn't mentioned with love and smiles and even a tear!
I gotta find the perfect spot for my special penny!

Love ya lots,
Molly

  1. Perhaps the perfect place for that special penny you and your mom found, could be if your family drilled a hole in the lucky penny and attached it to your collar, so the year angel Maggie was born is always close to your heart.

    Love and woofs,

  6. Even though you are a special little girl in your own right Molly and you have your own personality - we bet there is a little bit of Miss Maggie in you too and this was her way of showing that to your Mom and Dad

  12. On the Canine Cancer group I belong to they talk about watching for pennies from our Angels. Many things can be "pennies", a rainbow, a shaped cloud, or even the feeling of deja vu. My first penny from Ceilidh was a rainbow on the day I ran Beckett at his first agility fun match.

  16. Riley's right - you gotta get your Dad to drill a hole in the penny so you could attach it to your collar. Then Angel Maggie will be close to you always.

  24. Oh that is a very special penny for sure.
I think it was sent from Angel Maggie just to remind everyone that she is always around- watching over your shoulder-- yes, she is your angel, and even though she is very busy being an angel- she always has time to remind you she is there.

  27. Our Bentley used to collect pennies and other shiny things that he found. Mom always checked the dates on them and found one really old one that she kept with a lock of his hair.

  29. We had not visited since last Monday, so we were catching up on your week. Lee woke up this morning feeling really blue. Well her second scotty was Half Pence, but Lee said he was her lucky penny. Lee always called him Penny. He could tell when her Waldenstrom Lymphoma was going high and would just tug on her to stop her. Lee has tears now.
    Thanks for being a friend,
    Sweet William The Scot
