Apples are awesome, aren't they? We didn't know that dogs loved fruit until we adopted a yellow lab at age 10. He obviously had eaten apples in his past because he'd stare at whoever was eating an apple and drool! We learned to share with him, and it's a tradition that's gone on and on...
I love the photo of you two with the apple halves!
What cute photos! :-) The title of this post reminds me of the original "Annie" novel which I read when I was very young - that was where I'd first heard the expression "An apple a day..." - it made a huge impression on me as a child coz it was all about the American Depression and how poor people were and Annie was living with the homeless people on the streets, selling apples - and eating apples too, to survive (the book was a much more harsh version of reality than the movie version with Albert Finney!). It was so atmospheric - how cold it was and how the apples tasted. I remember feeling so sorry for all those people - really made me realise how lucky I was to have hot food & shelter!
Penny likes apples, but fortunately she's never realised you can find them in the backyard on the lower branches of our apple tree. She thinks they materialise on the counter top in the kitchen.
Apples, yum! Mom says we can bob for apples this weekend if it stops raining. We also saw Dad carrying a watermelon yesterday so it looks like a good holiday. Thanks for introducing us to watermelon guys. Have a fun filled, safe weekend.
An apple, Lee and I eat an apple almost every night before bed. I always eat the core of the apple. Lee tells me its my fiber for the day. Thanks for being a friend Sweet William The Scot

Gus says "I will eat most any fruit, but apples are one of the few that we share with Teka Toy. She tends to leave her bits buried in the big bed.
My guys love apples but they don't get a half each, that would be too much for them. Bananas are another favourite.
