We got a package from Chewy yesterday morning.
It contained a bag of my kibble......
And this. A flea comb? I have never had fleas in my life mom! Why did you waste your $$ on this?
Because dad and mom squeeze creamy goo and put eye drops in my eyes twice a day, the fur around my eyes gets crusty and sharp and nasty and mom can't stand it.
She has been using her Almay eye makeup remover to loosen the crusty nasties on my furs along with wet paper towels and she read on the internet that a flea comb will help her out too because of the teeth being so close together. Our vet suggested soaking my eye with a green tea bag but somehow, we can't see that working out too well. I don't have the patience to lay around with a tea bag over my eye.
Make sure you have lots of treats before we get started here, okay, mom. Molly decided to join me
for support so she doesn't miss out on any treats.
My eye does look a lot cleaner and my furs don't look quite so sticky and plastered, mom. Good job!

That's a good idea. We cockers get a lot of eye problems too. Joey and I have been lucky we only get a few eye boogers once in a while.
ReplyDeleteHey Mitch.... you could have your mom try Coconut Oil... around your eyes... Mom sometimes rubs a bit around MY eyes since I also have to have Medicine put in every day...

Our Mom uses warm compresses on sore eyes and boy, do we love them. Fudge leans right into the cloth and sighs.

ReplyDeleteOur Dad has blepharitis and his eyelashes and lids get all crusty too. His eye doctor told him to wash his eye area twice a day with baby shampoo - it works wonderfully well for him. But it might be tough to get the shampoo out of your furs without having to wash your whole face. Glad that flea comb works.
