Hard at Work

The porch pillars are gone and the porch is coming out.  The roof needed to be supported so it wouldn't fall off the house.
The porch is gone!  What you do see is the foundation without a porch.
The masons repaired the grout seams in all of the brownstone rocks.
 These masons do awesome work!
Mackie is searching or just the right toy to play with☺

Have a SuperSunday!

Love ya lots♥

  1. Yes the masons do beautiful work. Mom and dad recently found a show on DIY that is filmed in Bucks Co. PA. The man works on all the lovely stone homes in the area.

Mackie are you looking for a red ball?

  2. Wow, that looks scary without the columns holding up the roof! It's going to look so great when they're done!
Mackie, I have a Hole-y Roller ball just like that, only black! They're super fun, aren't they?!?

  5. What a tough decision, Mackie. We think you need to pull them all out on the floor, so you can make the decision more easily.

Our relos in Virginia, had that masonry work done, too. Some very talented craftsmen out there.

  10. I love your front door! Our front door is actually at the side of the house as we are on a hill and have a flight of stairs up to the ground floor but is actually on the first floor, if you are following me. As it is narrow between our house and our neighbours we can't have a canopy over the door. Hope the work is coming along well. Mackie you have the same amount of toys as Treacle! Hugs, Susie x

  12. Your home is gorgeous, with or without the porch...but having a roof is always a good thing:-) And those masons have done awesome work, indeed!

Hope you all have a fun July 4th...we know Mackie will when he finds just the right toy!

  13. It's interesting how builders and construction people know how to get things done without letting ones whole house fall in! Lucky you had lots of room up front to get supporting beams in. That photo of Mackie looks JUST like BabyRocketDog looking for "the right" toy. She is really picky about what she chooses to play with. Mom always laughs at her OCD tendencies. What ever that means.
