Calming Bites

I have been taking these Calming Bites for over a week now.

Yes, they make me calm when there is nothing to be worried about.   If I see or hear a fly, I go into my normal frantic action and try to find a safe place to hide.
When I hear fireworks or thunder, I still get anxious but a little less so and I still velcro myself to mom but I don't pant and pace quite as much.
Did you know that a 70 pound dog really can sit on a hooman's lap?  It's very comforting and comfortable and you need to try it some time if you haven't already tried it.

On a scale of one to ten,  we give these calming bites a 4.
So onto July 4th and the big booming fireworks *insert worried face*

Love ya lots♥
Molly

  1. Molly I, Madi(son) D. Cat send you as many calming vibes as I can in one big kitty breath. I hope and purr the calming bites work and most of all there are not too many fireworks or thunder. We will never understand the mentality that goes with fireworks. I mean ok go to a park or a big fair ground where there are professionally handled but not in a neighborhood and especially with it so hot and dry

  3. This year Mom is being proactive with the boomers. Just before it gets dark she takes us to the basement, puts the girls in their crates, turns on the lights and turns Seinfeld on the big tv.. we get to laugh at George instead of worrying about boomers.

  4. Mom has had pretty good luck with calming Lightning for a ride in the car when he has to go to the vet or to the boarder's place. They are called Cosequin Calm and they came from Chewy.com. He gets three at a time (he is 70 lbs.) and needs to have them about 45 min. before the car ride for them to be effective.

  5. We are so sorry Molly that you will have to deal with all that noise. I am glad we finally moved to the country where it is not as loud. Mags and Gus

  6. I remember the awfulness of those loud booms and cracks of fireworks. I was so afraid. But there haven't been any this year. (My mum says there have been lots but I don't think she's right about that.) Maybe when you are 12 like me, your hearing will go away and you won't be bothered by them. I hope your mum holds you tight while the crashing happens.

  7. We're sorry to hear those calming bites don't help you a bit more. We are lucky that we aren't bothered by the booms of thunder or fireworks.

  9. I'm pretty lucky that my humans turn the TV up loud when there are fireworks, so that I don't hear them. I don't get scared, but I do bark (a lot!) at sudden loud noises. Glad those yum yum treats are helping you to feel better.

  10. I'm sorry abouts the boomers! they really tick me off, and I bark at them. The other ones I pretty much ignore. Hey, has your Moms tried the CBD treats? They are suppose to be pretty good. Nothing calms me, so Ma has given up. BOL!!! Oh, and YES! I DO knows that we AireChicks can be lap dogs! Even if the peeps don't appreciate it. ☺

  11. Oh Molly we are sorry you aren't feeling as good and we do hope the fireworks don't last very long tomorrow to save your nerves. I am sure your Mom will be cuddling you to make it all go away. Have a great day on the 4th despite the fireworks.

    Hugs, Susie & Treacle xx

  12. Thanks for your review of the Calming Bites. It's every bit as important to know when things don't really quite work 100% as when they do!
I tried to sit on my mom's lap the other day. Actually, it was more like I tried to take a running leap onto her lap to get away from Maggie during a rather rambunctious play session. Apparently 48 pounds flying through the air at you is a bit concerning. I have no idea why!

  13. I never heard of this type of medication before, I can imagine it helps immensely with the scary boomers this time of year. Hope you are not too stressed out.

  14. Hi hi hi! Ojo here! That is too bad they do not help more. Maybe you need something stronger! (There is no shame in medication, friend! Many people do it to help themselves out! And many of my dog-friends do it too!) I hope you find something that works!

  16. No fireworks here due to the extreme fire danger. I'm happy about it... but they are one thing that Shyla is not afraid of! I have no idea why. Sorry that the bites weren't more magical.

  17. I hear ya Molly. Mama has been trying a few different things with JAkey and not even CBD Oil seems to be helping his anxiety anymore!

Mama is going to wait until after firework season and try again...
