Ready, mom?
We found white Yarrow for Phenny and Nelly!
This peony is just opening~
This Peony looks white in the picture but it's really a very pale pink.
The Honeysuckle is in bloom! Mom hates humidity and one of the only positive things that she can say about it is that the Aire, as we walk along, is beautifully scented and she can't stop smiling☺ There is no manmade perfume that can capture the true fragrance of the fabulous scent of Honeysuckle♥
Yes, mom - you are right. It does have a wonderful scent. Guess what I did after I sniffed it? I peed on it☺
The Kousa Dogwood is in bloom~
This is Mountain Laurel close up. Notice the tiny puckered buds. They open to such pretty blossoms and their one fault - the don't have any scent. Every flower should have a beautiful scent in my mom's opinion.
Happy Friday and Happy First Day of Summer!
Love ya lots♥
Molly
ha you showed the evidence yarrow is sure a flower and a nice one too ;O) we love peonies and the smell of summer in the air is for humans like fall is for pups... happy furst summer day!!
ReplyDeleteHi Molly,
ReplyDeleteI think that honeysuckle would have smelled even better after you 'decorated' it, but for some reason, Gail disagrees.
Toodle pip!

You always find the best flowers on your walks!
ReplyDeleteYou found lots of pretty flowers to show us and we agree that all flowers should have a sweet scent. Imagine how great a garden would smell if that were true. We're thankful we have lovely roses that give great scents in our yard.
ReplyDeleteI love going on walkies with you, Mollie.
ReplyDeleteHave a woof woof day and weekend. My best to your mom. ♥
Happy Nature Friday and the first Day of Summer. Honeysuckles are the best. We remember when we were kids and tasting the honeysuckles for a drop of honey that was in them. Thanks for sharing the lovely photos from your nature walk. Have a wonderful upcoming weekend.

Happy Summer. We have frost here and are happy the days will be getting longer. You have such beautiful flowers. SHE remembers pulling out the stamen of honeysuckle to get that sweet drop of nectar.
ReplyDeleteNice flowers. The peonies around here came and then got beaten up by rain and are gone already. Enjoy your flowers.
ReplyDeletethe peonies are beautiful!

ReplyDeleteHello Molly!
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend Molly!
Bye now, your friend, Dougie Dog
Oh, I love the Mountain Laurel! I never see that anymore. When I was a child we used to spend many weekends at Laurel Lake in Erving, MA and always hiked the trails to see the Laurel when it was in bloom. Guess we didn't smell it though! :)
