Sunday Stroll

Mom and I changed up our walking route this morning.   We have been having daily afternoon thunderstorms and before July 4th, we would hear fireworks at bedtime - not many but enough to stress me out so it has been a stressful week for sure.
I have turned into velcro Molly on walkies.  You never know when one of those evil noises might happen again even though it's only 7 AM.   Mom says that my "heel" is superb and dog trainers would be so proud of me but that's not what she wants.  She wants me to have fun and enjoy our walkie together.

What have we here?
Mom looked it up.  It's snow cone fireworks.   So you must have been one of the noises that we heard last night for one solid hour of non-stop noise.
A delectable treat you are NOT!  Shame on you for that EVIL packaging!
Actually, it was a stressful 4th but we made it.   We think because all of the towns cancelled firework displays because of the pandemic that the neighbors made up for it.
You are such a sweetheart, Miss Laura.  You are always so kind and thoughtful.
On a positive note~
Last year at Easter, my sissy gave mom an Easter lily.   Mom enjoyed it and then planted it in the garden and it's blooming again this year☺
We hope all of you had a happy 4th☺

Love ya lots♥
Molly

  1. Public fireworks canceled here too but that just made the neighbors all buy more. It was like living in a war zone last night and I was afraid they'd set the woods on fire behind me. Poor Levi barbed the entire time and in the past he didn't really mind them all that much. But these were so close they changed the color of my walls inside and filled my house up with smoke! Molly, you should have peed on that cone thingie your found.

  2. We had a very noisy 4th that lasted well into the 5th. Mom took us out at 2am to poop and there were still boomers. We're all tired today and Mom says there will be more noise tonight. We hate this holiday.

  3. You know Molly if I lived to 100 I'll never understand the fascination with fireworks. We have been in a hot dry spell for many weeks. No one in the RIGHT mind would think it was ok to send them up in the air only to fall on dry grass, trees or roof tops. Your Mom's lilies are beautiful.

You know my K9 nephew Pup, his mom gave him calming chews last night. She said it was very helpful. Of course my Feline Nephews were oblivious to the boomers..just like Angel Madi was.

  4. 4th of July fireworks was the only thing we had! Lee and I went for our pickup order at Kroger Grocery. No Meat/ No Lettuce/ No Coca-Cola Caffeine Free Soda because aluminum is in short supply and Coke has stopped production of Caffeine Free and Cherry Coke. That survey that said store shelves were stocked LIED! No tubedog for my bun!

  5. Those horrid whiz bangs, awful if you don't like them. We are very fortunate with Treacle as she doesn't bother about them and only woofs at them if they are really, really loud. Hopefully you won't have any more now. We love Miss Laura's notes, so happy. The Easter Lily is just wonderful, it is one of our favourite flowers but we cannot grow them as the ground is too wet!!! Have a wonderful Sunday. Hugs & Love Susie & Treacle xx

  7. Hi Sue and Molly - Sorry you had a stressful time with those nasty fireworks. We could even hear them coming from just across the border. [Maggie and Bruno and I live about 5 minutes walk away] But everyone is all right now, and that's it for the fireworks till the end of the year :)

  9. Oh, those lilies are just beautiful!!!

We had lots of fireworks around last night too, but at least they didn't last too long and there weren't a lot of really big bangs. We still don't like them.

  14. I am so sorry about the boomers. And that snowcone is just awful. No, no, no. I cannot believe that you found it on a walk. That's dangerous.

On a happier note, I love your Easter Lilies!

    Love ya, Molly!

  15. Ugh, so sorry your 4th and even the time leading up to it was so stressful, Molly. It was definitely ratcheted up this year, thanks to the stupid pandemic. :(
