In Purrsuit of Flavours Wednesday

This month, Phenny and Nelly wanted us to focus on sauces for In Purrsuit of Flavours~

We didn't have a whole lot of options because mom hadn't been to the grocery store yet so we chose to make Pasta and Eggs.

We put around a half pound of pasta to boil is salted water.   While the pasta was cooking, we wisked together, 1/3 cup of light cream and an egg and we melted one tablespoon of butter.  We added salt and pepper and Mrs Dash's garlic seasoning and onion seasoning and Italian seasoning to the cream/egg mixture.

When the pasta is cookered, drain it and put it back into the pot.  Turn the heat to low and add the cream/egg mixture and then the butter and stir it until the cream thickens and coats the noodles, which only takes a minute or so.    Remove the pot from the heat and add 1/3 cup of Parmesan cheese and stir it again.
All done and ready to eat!    It was so simple and so rich and yummy - a comfort food♥
Mom rewarded me with three onies!
We LOVED this recipe and will make it again for sure but next time, we will add asparagus or broccoli or peas or bacon.

Love ya lots♥

  4. We love when Dad cooks pasta because he lets us test it for doneness. Mom always cooks extra and mixes it into our dinner.

  9. Yummers!!! Mom loves noodles and butter with some spices sprinkled on top. But with the cream and the egss, and yes some veggies - it would be superb. We want her to make it because she does let us have a taste of plain pasta:)

  12. It looks so yummy. We like quick pasta meals when you are in a rush but want a good dinner. We would add tuna fish out of a tin to this or some smoked salmon to make it a bit richer but if it was the boys they would add chicken strips to it!!!! Molly you were so lucky to have some of your Mom's yummy dinner. Hugs & Love, Susie & Treacle xx
