Hurricane Henri

Hurricane Henri will be visiting us tomorrow and mom is not happy about it.  This morning she did all of the laundry and when we came home from walkies, she took out the AireConditioner in the bedroom.   She didn't think it would be a great idea to have it hanging out of the window to get whipped around by Henri.     We have a portable ac unit in the living room and she will be monitoring it throughout the storm.  If she gets nervous at all, she'll pull the exhaust hose inside the house and close and lock the window.

The weather peeps are saying that there will be lots of downed trees because our ground is already soaked from all of the rain that we have been having.     And this could mean no AireConditioners and no fan and no electricity!  We're all set with water and everything else we can think of.
Mom made chicken cutlets this morning.   It will be tonight's dinner and it will work for tomorrow too if we should lose power.  We're praying that we don't but better safe than sorry.

She has lots of puzzles to keep her busy~
And books to read too~

We're off to vacuum the basement - just in case we lose power and it's cooler down there than it is upstairs.

We'll be back as soon as we can be!

Love ya lots♥

Molly

  6. At one time Yexaswas in the path of H. Grace but she decided to drop way south of us into Old Mexico. Henri is huge!! No power is no fun...especially if humid!

Be safe, and update when you can.

  12. We have our paws crossed for you and Mom that all will be OK. It will not be fun if you lose power, but it sounds like Mom has a plan. We will have our Mom add some prayers too. All the best and be careful.

  18. We've been thinking about our pals in Henri's path - he put a damper on our morning walk - but that's it for us -

    Paws khrossed -

BTW, those chicken cutlets are a family memory - a weekly or so dinner staple!

Again, stay safe and powered up!

  19. Oh Molly and Mom I know exactly what you are doing and how you are preparing. The over saturated ground is a problem when the hurricanes decide to show their mean side. Common here but not so for one to actually come in as far North as you and Mom live. Sending lots of hugs and purrs for Henri to have all its punch sucked out by the older Atlantic Ocean.
    Love you lots too
