Nature Friday

We are joining Rosy this week for Nature Friday~

The money plant is so pearly white and pretty!

We found a white blooming phlox.   It doesn't smell as fragrant as the pink variety.
The garden orbweaver spider is back~

Mom took the first photo and he started to bounce his web.   We tried to find info to see if this is what they do but we didn't find anything.   It sure is funny looking and mom, being as puter challenged as she is, couldn't figure out how to post the video upright so we apologize.

Happy Friday, everybuddy, and no mom - I do not need a hAireCut!

Love ya lots♥

Molly

  2. We are wondering if we could use the money plant to pay for more snacks? Sounds like a really good idea but it doesn't look like the kind of money our mom uses to pay for things. Have a fun weekend!

  3. The phlox is pretty, and to be honest Molly we can't smell the fragrances through the screen anyway.

Wondefurs post again, Molly - oh and the odd web dance is not a sign of aggression, which some think it is. The theory is that it may be a type of defence mechanism or an attempt to distort the vision of would-be predators. In other words, mum was just a tad too close for that spider's comfort! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  7. My mother in law loved Money Plants. Seem to remember they grew on the farm where she was raised.
Mr. Orb has his very own bouncy house. Give Mom a 100 on her video posting her efforts paid off we all saw the bounce.
    Happy Friday Hugs Cecilia

  9. What a cool looking spider and web. Maybe they make it bounce to attract prey to it.

  14. We loved seeing your orb weaver danncing! The ones that have their webs on our deck will shake the web too! I think she does that so that we see it and don't walk through it. We LOVE your flowers this week! We would LOVE to have a Silver Dollar Plant. Did you know they are part of the mustard family and you can eat them? And Molly, you look purrfect just the way you are!

  16. We don't seem to have any big orb weaver spiders around our neighborhood anymore. I miss them. I think people use too much pesticides, or else the birdies are eating them all.

  23. Mom loves those big spiders. We have one in the hedge. We also have several of the regular garden spiders living on the porch. They come out at night, then roll their webs up during the day.
