Nature Friday

We are joining the LLB Gang this week for Nature Friday~~

Thankfully, we didn't have to go any farther than our yard to find pretty flowers.   We missed so many days of walking due to the icky heat and humids.

The Chinese Lanterns are turning orange~

The Asters are in bloom~
The cheerful Black-eye'd Susans are smiling☺
The Monarch butterflies are visiting our Butterfly bushes☺
Mom was weeding yesterday and discovered an Orb Spider underneath Miss Violet!  It looks like he's already caught a moth for his breakfast.   He'd better leave the beautiful butterflies alone or else!
Happy Friday, everybuddy!
Love ya lots♥
Molly

  4. Oh Molly and Sue I 100% agree with you about walking in the icky heat.
We were thrilled to see 7 day forecast of all days in the mid 80's (Not high 90's) and 2 nights with 65 and 62 for a low.
Love you and all your nature lots

Once again, the best nature shot is the last one!

  8. One of these years we'll remember to plant some of those Chinese lanterns. Oh, and we haven't seen any orb weaver spiders in ages! We think the birdies are eating them.

  9. You take beautiful photos! Those Chinese lanterns are new to me. LOVE the spider shot you got. I've found only 2 in my life! Have a great weekend!
PS It's a tiger swallowtail butterfly, not a Monarch. ;-)

  13. Wow, how pretty! You are lucky you didn't need to go far. We hope it is cooler. We have never had melon. It is not something Lady likes. Phod wouldn't like it cause he doesn't like veggies! Lee and Phod

  14. Java Bean: "I also try to catch moths in the evening! But I'm not usually as successful as that spider."
Lulu: "You get fed dinner in the house. Why do you need to catch moths?"
Java Bean: "It's like an after dinner mint."

  16. I always remember my Grandmother having Chinese Lanterns dried and using them in flower arrangements and how delicate they were. Those butterflies are so pretty. What great pictures. Hugs & Love, Susie & Coco xx
