We are joining Rosy this week for Nature Friday~~
The mornings this week have been so nice and cool and pleasurable for our walks~
One of our neighbors has this butterfly bush. It looks like a Miss Molly to me☺We are loving the Phlox and its beautiful fragrance!
Does anyone know what this is? Mom tried to search the intermutts but didn't have any luck identifying it.
We found pretty Marigolds~~
We found a really cool sider web and speaking of spiders, mom checked on our golden orb that lives under Miss Violet one morning and she discovered that he was gone and his web was bigtime disturbed. We remember Chester telling us that they think the birdies are eating their golden orbs but yesterday, mom discovered that he was back and his web is rebuilt. Something must have attacked him and luckily he wasn't injured or eaten.
Happy Friday, everybuddy!
Love ya lots♥
Molly

ReplyDeleteVery pretty flowers. We have no idea what the names are for most flowers, so we can't help you out. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to see all the beauty of Nature despite the yucky weather -
ReplyDeleteAND the last picture made me want to grab a ball and SHARE -
Hope you'll get some rain soon - we have some trees in the area already starting to color the leaves due to stress -

Good Golly Miss Molly a mystery on Nature Friday. I don't know but it is quite interesting.
ReplyDeleteOh how I am enjoying the lovely decent temperatures. I took a nice 'hood trek at 7:15 am this morning.
Hugs and Love you Lots

You found lots of pretty things on your morning walks. As for that mystery thing, we right clicked and selected "Search Image with Google Lens" and we think we found a match. It is a gall that is formed by a wasp where their larva grows. Here are a couple of links for you: https://www.inaturalist.org/guide_taxa/1315333 and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andricus_quercusstrobilanus

ReplyDeleteYou always have something interesting to show us, Molly... I suspect that non-IDd item is not actually part of the plant but is actually a wasp gall of some sort. Hugs and wag,s YAM-aunty xxx
How industrious and hard working Ms Spider is, to rebuild her home so quickly ~ for shame on whoever destroyed her lovely work! Hello, Happy Molly, you are looking quite lovely this day (in spite of your continuing heat) and I hope you are not under water restrictions where you live ... or all the pretty flowers may begin to fade a bit.
ReplyDeleteI love your Nature Walks, Miss Molly. Always pretty flowers and beautiful you.
ReplyDeleteAre you using Firefox? You might want to try Edge or Chrome to see if you can comment. Apparently Firefox has some issues.
Have a woof woof day and weekend, Miss Molly. My best to your mom. ♥
What a great collection today Molly. We wonder what that mystery plant too!
ReplyDeleteOf course, your smile outshines everything else!!
xoxo,
Rosy
Happy Nature Friday Molly.
ReplyDeleteWe are so pleased your spider is back and spinning again!
You found lots of pretty things sweet Molly and I'm glad the weather was better for walking.
ReplyDeleteButterfly buses are great places for our angels to gater.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday, Molly. It's been really hot here since I got home from my road trip.
ReplyDeleteHi Molly! We love coming and seeing your walks! Mom loves Phlox. They remind her of her Mom who always had the most incredible flower gardens! (our Mom has a bit of a brown thumb). Thanks for stopping by and visiting us. Keep being AWESOME! Purrs Marv
ReplyDeleteHi Mackie! Wow, that is an impressive spider web! It reminded us of one Charolette may have spun. Lee and Phod
ReplyDeleteHi friend, Ojo here! I am happy to see all the nature despite your drought!
ReplyDeleteLulu: "Such pretty flowers and greenery on your walks! The only greenery and flowers here right now are where the humans water them!"
ReplyDeleteJava Bean: "Narrow escape for your golden orb weaver. I guess that spider-sense came in handy!"
Love the flowers but that one looks like an alien plant, it certainly looks like it can protect itself from intruders!!! Never seen anything like it. The spider web is amazing. Hugs & Love, Susie & Coco xx
