Molly, I must say I'm shocked! At least it isn't a really big tree, that would be even worse. Mom says even when the cats were little and climbing the tree, she has never had one fall over. I bet you didn't feel well in the night and got yourself into this pickle. Santa will understand, your mom, maybe leave her alone for a bit until she settles down about it.

We agree with some of the other comments that a squirrel must have snuck into your house and knocked that tree over in the middle of the night. You are definitely still on the nice list, Molly.
There you were, minding your own business, when a squirrel broke in the house and knocked down your tree. You scared the varmit off and saved the day. Stick to that story
Accidents will happen sometimes. Maybe the tree wasn't very steady when you sniffed it? It's a good thing it didn't hurt you, Molly! So glad you're safe.
