We are joining Rosy and Sunny this week for Nature Friday~~
Last weekend, we took a longer walk to see if we could find more pretty flowers. What beautiful bright red geraniums!
Taking a closer look, we discovered that a pumpkin was growing inside the red geraniums☺
As we rounded the corner, there was farmer Will's beautiful field against a gorgeous blue sky!In this field, he was growing lots and lots of tomatoes. There were wildflowers at the base on this field called soapwort.Continuing on, we found pretty sedums. The next field, which is the one closest to our house, has peppers growing. This is a terrible shot of chicory but it was growing in front of the peppers.Next time, we will go around Farmer Will's field from the other direction.Taking a closer look, we discovered that a pumpkin was growing inside the red geraniums☺
Happy Friday!
Love ya lots♥Duke

ReplyDeleteFlowers are coming back now after near death from all the heat this summer. It has cooled off and we have a real fall feeling and we are ready! That looks like a really nice walk for you and your mom.
ReplyDeleteDuke I truly love seeing when chicory blooms. Precious and I love the color blue and it's such a pretty sky blue. You've got lots of beautiful photos for us today, thank you.

Duke I thank you and Mom for the adventure to find such pretty things and unique. I love the pumpkin in the patch of poses and I especially love the blue sky and the pose with the heart.

What wonderful discoveries you made, Duke! I like the hidden pumpkin. Chicory flowers are such a beautiful blue. We have a few in our garden.
ReplyDeleteOh, to live so close to a farm! What delightful nature shots you get.
ReplyDeleteYou found lots of pretty and tasty things to share with us today, Duke.
ReplyDeleteHi Duke! (Marv waves wildly). What great places to walk! Geraniums and Pumpkins! What a terrific combo! Mr D (next door) has Calendula and Zuchinni and Mrs J has Dalias and Red Peppers. Because Mom (still) has to use a walker when she takes Nutmeg out, she can only walk on the village streets. Mom may not be able to walk Nutmeg "off the beaten track" but she still loves to get out and wheel around and see who has what growing together, we love seeing what you and your Mom have found. Thanks for stopping by on International Dog Day!
ReplyDeleteThat was some darn good flower hunting Dandy Duke!
ReplyDeleteLovely vegetation everywhere.
ReplyDeleteLulu: "Ooh, you found a pumpkin? It's a well-known fact that orange is our Dada's favorite color, and pumpkin orange is his favorite shade of orange!"
ReplyDeleteJava Bean: "Ayyy, how many shades of orange are there?"
Lulu: "Quite a few apparently."
Hi hi hi! Ojo here! You spotted a pumpkin! Did you get to eat it? I love pumpkin! (My person says it has to be cooked first. Boo.) You look very handsome today, friend!
ReplyDeleteYou sure found some pretty flowers.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are doing really well this year, despite the lack of rain. You had a wonderful walk. Hugs & Love, Susie & Coco xx
