We are joining Rosy today for Nature Friday~~
Both of our Amaryllis bulbs are keeping mom smiling in these cold temps~This flower is on the second stalk blooming from Uncle Mark~
This flower is Missy's in full gorgeous bloom~There are so many flowers blooming at the same time on Missy's and hers has two stalks too!Mom snapped this shot Thursday morning. It's looking out our garage window. She wanted to see if we had lost any snow inches. Nope!We needed to pay the rent and mom took me with her. Landlady Maryanne's driveway is longer than ours is!I needed to test out her snow to make sure it was just as fun over here! Hey, mom - that's our house over there! It's a beautiful day and cold with breezes and the weatherPeeps are warning us that Friday will be VERY frigid all day long with temps below zero so that's why we were paying the rent on Thursday. So the scoop on the red boots - the back ones stayed in place and I lost both Muttluks that were on my front feets - one of them in our driveway and the other one in Maryanne's driveway. Mom thinks it my SuperSilky furs. The front ones just will not stay on! The red boots that do stay on are called Magic Cindy's in case anyone wants to know.
Love ya lots♥
Duke

I wonder if your boots would stay on if your mommy were to tie a string from one to the other while threading it through your warm coat. The way a mommy does to keep the mittens on her human kids, lol. It'll be fun in the spring to find your missing boots here and there when the snow is gone.
ReplyDeleteoh your amaryllises are wonderful!! and the fabulous ice curtain for your window... even winter has some good things :O)
ReplyDeleteHari OM
ReplyDeleteYou sure are finding the positives to all that white stuff, Duke! It will be interesting to see where those booties turn up once it goes away! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

Duke I am not at all surprised your super duper silky furs made the muttluks slip off...yay for the Magic Cindys. We have another weather event starting tonight supposedly just snow fluffy no ice but very gusty winds that will cause drift. We'll hunker down again
ReplyDeleteWarm hugs to you and Mom
OH AND I LOVE YOUR indoor red blooms they made quite happy too
Your uncle and sissy did good
Cecilia
Java Bean: "Ayyy, it is still a winter wonderland there, eh, Duke? The flowers inside are pretty, they must make you think of spring!"
ReplyDeleteLulu: "The other day Mama and Dada were watching a video about some city in Russia where it's -64℉ in winter and that seemed a little bit cold even for me. I would rather be where you are!"
Beautiful Amaryllis! Duke, Tommy always used to lose his Mutlucks too! The only things that would stay on are those PawZ silicone tight-fitting shoes they use for sled dogs.
ReplyDeleteWoofs,
Ollie
Those Amaryllis flowers are like a ray of sunshine during this cold winter. My mom makes me booties out of fleece to use in the back yard. She puts them on nice and tight so I never lose them.
ReplyDeleteNice to have those bright blooms to enjoy while everything else is covered in snow/ice.
ReplyDeleteHope you can find booties that stay on your front paws.
Stay warm and cozy!!
IT sure looks way too cold there Dandy Duke, keep those pawsies warm!
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful flowers and yes, it's a long walk up the driveway. Maybe you can get more of the magic stay on boots.
ReplyDeleteIt's been very cold here too. Teddy wears Top Paw boots on his back feet and balloon boots on his front feet.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous Amaryllis. And Duke, Nutmeg is jealous that you have such wonderful snow. She loves it! Mom has been really happy that we have been having an incredibly mild winter this year. She slipped on the ice about a month ago and is back using crutches. They don't work so well in snow. Keep being awesome! Marvelous Marv
ReplyDeleteThe snow and the Amaryllis help us celebrate two season
