Mom and I went for a very short walk on Tuesday. We have snow that the plows can't move far enough off the road and it makes it dangerous to walk. We only got one picture before mom decided to return home~
The pond is totally frozen and we didn't see any ducks and wondered............Landlady Maryanne called and told mom that the ducks are all gone. With the pond being frozen and no open water is available, the ducks aren't safe and any predator - well, you know. We feel so awful for those sweet ducks.
We did watch the Puppy Bowl last weekend~
Mr Bill was the referee at my house!Landlady Maryanne also let us know that roofers are coming here. We think they are doing the entire roof and there is snow on our roof!
Duke we hope the roofers don't let the snow come in the house, lol. We live by a big lake and it's all Frozen too. But I can tell you one thing, the Canada geese never go away.
ReplyDeletewe hope the ducks come back when the cold temperatures go... and we hope that is soon...
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your winter weather! It is odd to do a roof in the middle of the winter unless you are having issues with it. Hope you have a wonderful Valentines weekend!

We so know what you mean about the snow - it is still beyond challenging to walk on - but you are probably correct about The Snow Thief coming to town by the end of next week -
ReplyDeleteit is sad about the ducks - maybe they will quack some surprises -
Good luck with the roof - when The Khottage got one several years ago Mom worked from home that day so I didn't freak out - I was very good - even met the crew -

Be careful out in that cold stuff Dandy Duke!
ReplyDeleteLulu: "Duke, our Dada somehow didn't clock until now that today is Friday the 13th! He says that fortunately he did not book himself for a trip to Camp Crystal Lake today. We have no idea what he's talking about."
ReplyDeleteOH no duckies I'm so sorry I HOPE above HOPE they found somewhere safe.
ReplyDeleteWE got a new roof in October....we love it and OMDs for the first time in 44 some kinda big honky bird I'm thinking T-Rex's avian brother has decided to use our roof as a loo drop. Big giant white splats.
Come spring we will call a soft wash company that steams (not power washes) we will ask them about those areas

I hope the ducks found a safe place to hang out. It's going to get loud when those guys do your roof, Duke.
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine yourself on tv, Duke? You'll be a star! Ducks are experts in flying, so don't worry, they find a good place in no time. Your house looks beautiful with snow.
