Nature Friday

We are joining Rosy this week for Nature Friday~~

We had a heat wave going on earlier this week and it was honestly, way too hot for May and we are so grateful that those high temps are behind us - at least for now.
Leaving the end of our driveway we discovered a beautiful flower that we were not familiar with.   The internet says that it's Election Pink and it's in the Rhododendron family~
We found more fragrant Lilacs in bloom~
At home, our white perennial Bachelor Buttons are flowering~
Along our walk, the blue ones are blooming too!
Mom kept seeing this beautiful red flower and decided to walk over and see what it was.  It's a gorgeous Flame Azalea!
Happy Friday!
Love ya lots♥
Duke

  2. Duke we're glad to see you still have so many beautiful things blooming. Early spring things are just so cheerful. We had the hots earlier this week too and then the cold rain came and we just can't seem to get warmed up again.

  3. Pretty flowers all around you. Glad your heat went away. We had heat last weekend and then frost most mornings this week and the heat is coming back on Sunday. The up and down can stop anytime now!

And even more wonderful temps now!!

Of course, humans are complaining of the wet and rain - it's actually cancelled the Saturday events at the airshow at HIA - we still need the rain in our virtual rainbucket -

  10. Lulu: "It's too early in the year for heat waves, especially for us long-furred dogs, right, Duke? No matter how much the flowers might like them!"
