Yesterday was cool, breezy and sunny - the most perfect day!
Mom spotted that double flowering pink tree up ahead and wanted a close-up of the flowers. She needed a new pair of walking shoes and guess what color she chose?!She can't seem to get enough of the bleeding hearts! We found lilacs along our walk and you know she had her nose in them for a good long time!Today is my 2nd Gotcha Day!This was my arrival on my very first day here~I can't remember if mom ever told you this crappy story but when we left my breeder's house in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, we had a bit of a drive before we got home. The breeder told mom that I had pooped but by my actions, mom wondered if it was entirely true. Missy stopped a couple of times to let me relieve myself but I couldn't and didn't. I just wasn't comfy. Once I got to my new home, I unloaded several times all over the carpeting. There was poop everywhere! Oops! Mom and Missy drew the bath water and that was the first time that I got a bath! The two of them still laugh about it today☺Happy Monday!
Love ya lots♥

ReplyDeleteWell, the post was late again today, but that doesn't stop me joining in with lots of cheers for your gotcha day, Duke! May there be many more... hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Lulu: "I am not sure we ever heard that story before, Duke, but we totally understand!"
ReplyDeleteJava Bean: "Sí, around here, our sister Trixie was famous for not pooping the entire drive out to California from New York! Mama and Dada stopped in Texas and took her to a vet there because they were worried about her, but the vet ― who didn't charge them for the visit ― said sometimes dogs would just hold it for a few days when traveling, and that Trixie would probably poop when they got to their new home. Which she did!"
A cool, breezy day with plenty of blooms, what’s not to love?
ReplyDeleteHappy Gotcha Day, Duke! That was a funny story, good for a belly laugh!
ReplyDeleteYou never know what might happen when a puppy comes into a house...back when we had MJF, when he was very young, he would leave poopy offerings on the carpet...if...he saw one of the kitties and he would get all excited and let loose! Thankfully that stage was short lived! (He was house trained in about 2 weeks...)
Happy Gotcha Day, Duke! You sure found yourself a great home!
ReplyDeleteWe have both bleeding hearts and lilacs in our garden, and both have now been in flower for a while, so are on their way out. But the roses are starting to bloom!
Woofs,
Ollie
