We had a glorious Sunday morning with temps in the low 60's☺
We did the farm loop on our walk and all along this street, Queen Anne's Lace was everywhere!Turning the corner, mom couldn't get over all of the wildflowers in bloom~Farther along, we found lots and lots of Chicory! The Dock is turning from green to a beautiful rich brown~
We discovered Cattails~
High up in the farmer's field, two flags were waving~Next up, were the beautiful blue Hydrangea's. Did I mention that the woman is crazy about these gorgeous blue flowers?!
Happy Monday!
Duke
Duke, we thank you for inviting us to take this walk with you! I still haven't seen any chicory here blooming, but the Queen Anne's Lace is going crazy. We had a cool morning yesterday and a cool one this morning but the afternoons are still getting super hot.
ReplyDeleteHow nice you had cooler weather. Ours is hot, hot, and hot. It is going to be a nasty week. All the flowers and plants you found look great. Around here they will all be dying with no rain and hot air but that is July.
ReplyDeletewe love the name for that plant. queen annes lace... that sounds good... we call that plant wild carrot LOL
ReplyDeleteWe were also about that temp this mornng -
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing all the beauty -
AND the corn dog stock!
Mom has always loved hydrangeas - the first house she remembers growing up and some around the flagstone patio she roller skated on, fell, and needed stitches in her upper forehead :-)
