A SuperSpecial Walk

Mom and I decided it was time to head in a new direction for our walk.
Instead of going left on Forest Street, we went right and right leads right down to busy Whitney Avenue.    The spring trees are all coming into bloom!
A grooming parlor!   Mom grooms me at home so I won't be needing to go inside that building.

We turned up steep Briarcliff and discovered this cute front door as we sneaked a peek inside the bushes.
 What pretty flowers~
Mom said that they belonged to friends that used to live there.   Mom has always loved this house.
We are on Cromwell Street and this house is very familiar to mom.
Mom said that this is the house that my dad grew up in!   It's amazing that it's so close to where we live now.   It's changed a bit.  Mom remembers a beautiful Mountain Laurel that used to be under the left hand window.
What mom?  What am I supposed to be noticing?   Yes, Mitch would have snagged that apple in a heartbeat!
We sure had fun discovering a new walking route.   We will definitely walk that one again!
Thank you for coming along with us on our walk.     It was a great walk!
Love ya lots♥
Molly

  1. that was a super ide to invite us for a walk... it#s amazing how things change over the years...but we still remember the houses we knew from the past and we can see the trees what were there once... with our minds eye.... (that's the eye what sees food behind efurrything).

  2. We like that walk. It is a pretty area, and has lots of things to look for when their season to Bloom comes up. But also watch for a coffee place and a local market. Our local non chain coffee place has tables outside for dogs who are walking their humans, and muzzer window shops the market and goes back while I take a nap.

  8. Good morning Molly and Mom!!
My mom loves discovering new places and streets too.
We loved seeing the blooming trees. YOu know as for the apple...
you know what we say...it is a sign from Mitch. He approves of what you are doing. You see mom is a believer in signs from loved ones. When she was cleaning out my gpeeps house she found 87 million (actually 3 bags of 500)
dental swords (google dental swords). Papa was a big fan of them evidently. He bought them in bulk. Had little plastic containers of them all over too.
Unfortunately, mom sees that some other folks use them then discard them on the ground...which is bad bad manners. But mom says they are signs from Papa and make her smile

  14. Thanks for taking us along on your special walk. Mom loved seeing the houses that remind her of her home area in MA and CT. We have to agree with Madi and her Mom about that apple being a sign from Mitch. Be sure to take that walk more often.

  15. We go past places that we have been in and wonder how the insides have changed. Lee wants to drop off some old papers maps to the owners of her Grandfather's house and wonders if they would want them and if the owner invited her in would she want to see how the house has changed. Thanks for the tour of your village.
