One day last week when we were having very heavy rain, mom sent me out to do my peepees. I realized once I stepped out onto the porch that it was pouring down drenching rain! I decided that mom was nuts to send me out in this kind of weather so I turned to come back inside and I fell off the porch. Below my porch is a sidewalk, which is about four and a half feet away. It was dark out so mom didn't see how I landed. I was getting wet, so I jumped up, pee'd and headed back inside. Luckily, I was not hurt.
I sorta whigged her out again when I took a flying leap off the porch to get to a squirrel that needed to be deaded. No, I didn't catch him. He ran up a tree - the little bugger!
So yesterday, she headed to Home Depot so see what she could find that would keep me from getting hurt. Moms worry way too much, don't you think?
She couldn't come home without these beautiful pansies and decided to put them right at the bottom of the porch stairs to slow me down and keep me in line.
And look what she did to me at the top of the porch! How the heck am I ever going to catch that evil nuisance of a tree rat now?
I know you want to keep me safe, mom - but REALLY!
Love ya lots♥
Molly
Awe. Golly I am glad she wasn't hurt! I love that last pic. Such a sweet face.

We wouldn't want you to get hurt but we hope that fence doesn't slow you down too much. Those flowers are pretty.
ReplyDeleteShe could have bought you something simple as a pair of wings! They just don't think
ReplyDeleteBet she didn't go outside to pee in that weather

That's almost as bad as when I got put on a tie-out leash so I wouldn't try to escape under that hole in the fence when the big tree fell down next door.
ReplyDeleteYour mom is just looking out for you cause she loves you!

Home Depo oh I love that store. Lee and I have gotten wildland phlox in blue (we are waiting for the pink to come in) one cranesbill perennial geranium and creeping jenny for a giant pot that Lee put two giant brown balls in and a fern for our porch. I get a treat from the cashier when we are there. Happy Easter remember Easter is the only time of the year when it's perfectly safe to put all your eggs in one basket.

Mom's really do get worried about silly things don't they? We are glad you weren't hurt and happy your mom came up with a solution to make her worry less!
ReplyDeleteIt's your mom's job to keep you safe, Molly! I think that she's doing a wonderful job. I love her solution!
ReplyDeleteCrikey Mollie ...... I'm with your Mom on this one. That's a long way to fall AND on concrete!! You could have been killed even. What were you thinking?? AND look how pretty your Mom made the porch. You're lucky to have her girl. She really loves you. I think you should give her a big lick and cuddle to say you're sorry for calling her a NUT!!!
ReplyDeleteChecking in to stand with Mom on this one sweetie. Must say that when I was just about the age you are now I was at my most adventurous. That was also the year my vet bills were sky high. Give your Mom a rest, just enjoy those lovely pansies.

(those were the days my friend)
Molly, Treacle is just the same as you and takes flying leaps from the doorstep and up the steps to her garden and has many a time banged her legs doing it! Then had to go to her doctors as she has hurt herself, so really what Moms are doing by saving you from yourselves is actually saving them an extra job of a visit to the doctors!!!!! I know it spoils all the fun but it does mean more time to spend with your furry AireFaces!!!! Happy Easter Susie xx
ReplyDeleteYour mom loves you so much, Molly! And that barrier is really quite attractive.

That safety fence looks gorgeous as well as being useful.
