Christmas Day

We had an awesome Christmas! Dad always visits with patients in the hospital on Christmas day and before he left mom said that we could open our packages that were under the tree!

We got edible bones and lots of safe chew toys- the kind Mitch can't destroy hopefully!

Early afternoon, Missy and Jim came to share Christmas dinner and more pressies with us! They gave me the neatest pink piggy stuffie that oinks but you can see by this picture who took over MY stuffie! As soon as Mitch got too rough with her, mom snuck her upstairs and put her on my bed where she'd be safe!

Mitch got a rope toy, one of his very favorite toys from them but he was so busy chewing on MY piggie that I stole his rope toy and got it all soggy!

We both got Christmas stuffies - a cute reindeer and a jolly Santa both of which make the most awesome noises - they have squeakers everywhere, and I can't remember which one of us got which because Mitch claims them both as his own anyway!

He's quite selfish but mom says that I was too at his age so I guess it takes a long while to outgrow it!

And to be honest, as soon as Mitch started ripping Santa's beard off, he was on his way upstairs and as soon as Rudolphs nose was altered, guess where he was off to! Pretty soon there won't be enough room on my bed for ME to sleep!

Christmas dinner was yummy and Mitch and I got a few free handouts from everyone. We did get a smidge of plum puddding and Missy and Jim brought Christmas cookies and we got to sample a bite of those too!

We had a wonderful Christmas and believe it or not, today ( the day after ) Mitch is waiting for more gifts to miraculously appear! He hasn't gotten it yet that Christmas only comes once a year!

So until next time.................

Love ya lots,

Oooohhhh...LOVE THE PINK PIGGY!!! We can't begin to tell you what we'd do with that.

We're still envious of the plum pudding--you guys really have spectacular humans around to provide those essential services.

Hope your Christmas was the merriest ever!

Hello! Maggie,
Isn't Christmas the best day of the year? It is such a special day. My mommy let me have the entire pig ear! it was so big that I couldn't finish and had to hide the left-over. I have started counting down the days till next Christmas.
Enjoy your pressies!

Oh yes but then you get to play with all those toys that mitch tries to ruin and he can't play with them anymore. I wish it worked that way for me and Flash.

Looks like you had a great day! A whole armful of squeaky toys is a great day indeed. Love the way Mitch has got Santa face down in submission. Kind of "give me more squeaky things or the Santa gets it".

And a wonderful thing for your Dad to do, visiting hospital on Christmas Day. That is more in the spirit of the day than a million novelty hats and roast turkeys.

big love

So, is it just Mitch who 'alters' things or do you have your paw in that too, Maggie?

Hey, Maggsie & MitchMan!

You had yourselves a MAHvelous Christmas! Your dad is very cool to go visit on Christmas day. He must remember what it was like to be stuck in the hospital on a holiday.

Maggs, I found a way to get the toys I want back. Just start playing with something you don't really want. Mitch will see you & try to get it. Put up a little struggle (to make it look authentic), then give up in disgust so Mitch can take the toy. Then, you go over and get the thing you REALLY want & sneak upstairs while MItch is still basking in the glow of his "victory" over you. Works everytime! I'm tellin' you, it DOES!

Goober love & Christmas smooches,
