Hi everybody! It's me, Autumn!
Mom and I want to try out a new recipe for Thanksgiving this year that we've never made before. We found it in this cookbook that mom has had for awhile now! The cookbook is called "Beyond Beans, Beer and BBQ" and it contains the BEST recipes from lots of contributing Airedale folks! Mom contributed a couple of recipes too! The cookbook was a fund raiser for the Lone Star Airedale Terrier Club.
The recipe that we're going to make is called Get Together Grape Salad! The story that goes with this recipe is as follows: Donna first had this salad in the 1940's. An aunt brought it to all the family get togethers. Now it has become a third generation recipe and a tradition at all our holiday meals together. Delicious with roasted turkey!
It sounds PERFECT so that's what we'll be making to go along with our Thanksgiving dindin tomorrow!
2 pounds Seedless red grapes, sliced in half lengthwise, 2 cups miniature marshamallows, cut in half, 1 can pineapple chunks or slices, chopped in small pieces, 1 cup of walnut pieces and 1 small package of vanilla instant pudding.
Prepare the pudding according to the package and allow to set. Mix the grapes, marshmallows, pineapple and walnut pieces together. Once the pudding is set, combine with grape mixture and refrigerate. It's best if prepared one day before serving!
Marshmallows!! hummmmmmmmm -- This gives me a great idea!
Yooooooooooohooooooooooooo! Maggie and Mitch!!!! Where are you?!!!!!!!
Here it comes! Catch it, Mitch!
Get it, Maggie! That one is yours!
What an athlete that boy is!We'll have to let you know how the salad turns out!
Have a happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate the holiday!
