Guess what mom discovered?
That this kidney girl can have ricotta cheese and we already knew that I could have oonies!
Well, that's what ravioli is, right?Mom NEVER shares ravioli with us because it's one of her very favorite meals in the whole wide world and she's STINGY!
She must be in a very good mood because lookie what we got!
OMG, they were worth waiting for!
We got tagged by both Dave of the Army of Four and Sonic to open our first photo folder, scroll down to the 10th photo, post that photo and tell the story behind it, then tag 5 more bloggers.
Our first folder is called ABB and it stands for Art By Butterfly. When our artist friend, Miss Barbara, was selling paintings on ebay, ABB was her ebay ID. Mom just loves her work and she used to snag lots of pictures of her paintings because she couldn't afford them all and she wanted to enjoy them.
This painting is of an Airedale at the Brandt Point lighthouse and Brandt Point lighthouse just happens to be on Nantucket, our favorite summer vacation spot! We're going to break the rules and tell you that this is a lot of fun so if you want to play, please do so!
So until next time................
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Oh yum! That ravioli looks delish and of course we love ricotta cheese too. We're glad your mom decided to share. Your expressions look very intense! We like the Airedale picture.
ReplyDeleteYour friends,
Niamh & Ambrose
Well we know for a fact that D went to the farmers market on Sunday morning and bought a tub of fresh ravioli filled with ricotta, proscuitto and pecorino. Do you think we'll get to see any of that? Nooooo probably not hehe.

Pees - we love your St. Patty's header
That Barbara is an amazing artist!
ReplyDeleteAnd that ravioli looks like heaven on earth!
Yes, we are in the Ravenous for Ravioli fan club too. We like the ones that muzzer brings back from St. Loulis a lot, and the local ones ain't bad either. Do you get sauce? We don't usually, but we like the one with browned butter and walnuts that comes on the mushroomy ones.
ReplyDeletegussie
Yummers!! You think our Mom would let us have some - it looks delish.

Love that painting and love the bank, too! They are nice to share their biscuits!
ReplyDeleteLOL! You two look like you just discovered peanut butter in that pic!
ReplyDeleteThat's such a nice painting! And I haven't had ravioli either...
ReplyDeleteSonic
Hey! I sometimes see comments from you guys on Mischka the German Airedale's blog. I use Google Translate to read his blog. I must say that I do enjoy the missteps that it makes sometimes. I've been also using it to leave comments, but try to keep my sentences simple. I actually won the German award in high school but that was 10,000 years ago.
ReplyDeleteI get comments from Mischka which are great! Just thought I would suggest the google translate if you aren't already using it.
Mango Momma
That's a great discovery. Enjoy. Does it work if you have liver issues?

Ravioli!?!?! YUMMM YUMMMMERS!!
ReplyDeleteWe are glad your mom shared!
xo martine & the kiddlets
YUM! We just checked. We've got the pasta AND the ricotta on the pantry shelf and in the fridge. Now we just have to convince Moma that ravioli should be the Number One Priority today. Maybe she'll be convincible. She DID go look to see what the number ten photo in the number one folder was ... and it brought a big smile. Trouble is, it also reminded her that one of her "goals" is to get the photos on the 'puter organized. We're guessing we'll probably be left watching the snow melt and imagining the tastiness of ravioli. (That's better than nothing. And maybe we'll get lucky.)
ReplyDeleteHappy new week!
Love

Holy ravioli, Maggie and Mitch! Lookit how much you are lovin' that nummy stuff. I have been thinking back in my mind and I don't think I have ever hads ravioli! I will make sure and get mom to put it on the grocery list. Oh, and I likes that painting. It's very pretty and happy.

You two sure eat well. Tonight we're having shrimp on our dinner. Mom's eyes were bigger then her tummy, so guess who gets the leftovers.
ReplyDeleteWe also like ravioli and lasagna.
Delicious ravioli! You are two very lucky airedales. Oscar asked me to tell you that he really does enjoy snails. He's been finding lots of them in the garden. Nice and crunchy on the outside, with a squishy centre :) Ros
ReplyDeleteHi Maggie and Mitch
ReplyDeleteWe have never tasted ravioli! You guys may have a stingy mom but she is better than ours!!!
We just loved that painting of the airedale.

It looks YUMMY!!!!!! The painting was pawsome, but I'm still stuck of that treat that made you guys so excited you were almost cross-eyed! GOTTA get some of that!
Okay, now because I'm new to this compuawter stuff. I need to know how to "tag" someone. I found #10 in me folder... very interesting, but I don't know what to do next. I'm a big Irish Blogging Ignoramus! I'm not good at the compuawter stuff----ooof and Photoshop??! TOTALLY over me head!!!
Come back to me site and see the Barkday cards. I FINALLY figured out how to load them so I can share them with the rest of the world!!!
Irish Love,
McG
Guess what we got to eat last night? Homemade cannellonis with ricotta cheese! Yummmm! We loved them and now have convinced Moma this needs to happen more often! You guys are GREAT!

ReplyDeletePedro
Dear Maggie - I am never allowed cheese let alone ravioli!
ReplyDeleteer, cheese, well it kinda makes me rather sick.

Ravioli is ALMOST as good as cheesecake! Hope you enjoyed...a LOT! Thanks for stopping by my blog and helping the cause of Eskie Rescue on my mom's birthday! You have kind hearts!
ReplyDeleteDo you do a low phosphorous/high protein diet for your kidneys, Maggie? We never knew about any of that before we started raw, and it seems like plain ol' raw feasts did the trick for my brother, so we don't worry about a kidney diet for him. But we've read some really good things about the low phosphorous diet.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your ravioli feastables! My dad likes to call those "pierogies" and I think they are majorly tasty!!
Gee Gram doesn't share ravioli with us either but not because she just loves it...it's way too messy fer doggies....
ReplyDeleteWhere have I heard that excuse before???? Hope yer all well....
Dewey Dewster returns...
