We're Celebrating

Three years ago, I met my new brother, Mitch, for the very first time.   Look at that horrified look on his face!
Yes, I do boss him around and tell him when to do it and how to do it and most of the time he listens to me.  Isn't that what sissys are for?!
But one thing is for sure.   I love Mitch, no matter what - forever and ever!
We are also celebrating Mitch's good news.  Mitch went to visit our vet on Tuesday.  He was drinking a whole lot more water than he normally drinks and more often than he normally does plus he was making his water bowl all yucky with excessive drooly and slimy stuffs.   Mom brought them a urine sample and they stole a lot of his blood to run lots of tests.
We heard back from the doctor today.  His peepee is fine and his blood is in great shape.  Mitch has Lyme Disease and we've known this now for several years.  He's had two flare-ups only.  The doctor said that Mitch's Lyme test came back looking much better than before, which is a great thing!    The vet doesn't know why Mitch is drinking more water seeing as everything checks out okay so he put Mitch on Doxy for a month just in case this is another Lyme flair-up and he's taking a pepcid pill to settle his tummy if that's why he has so much extra saliva.

We were at Lenny and Joe's for shrimp rolls and shrimp bisque and french fries and coleslaw.
And then we were off to Durham for ice cream cones!
So we are celebrating bigtime today - my third Gotcha Day and Mitch's good news!  You sure did have mom and dad worried, buddy.  We're so happy that you checked out pretty much A-okay!

So until next time...........

Love ya lots♥
Mitch and Molly

  20. Hi Mitch, Molly & Mom & Dad, so glad all is well with Mitch. It is the only thing I hate about our wonder fur babies, that's when they are ill. It worries you so much. Love the pictures of baby Molly so cute. Have a lovely weekend all of you. Hugs, Susie & Treacle

  22. Such HAPPY news all around. Happy Gotcha Day, Molly. Mitch did look a bit horrified on that 1st day but I know you two are best buddies now!

I didn't know about Mitch's Lyme disease. It's ironic that I just read Amy Tan's essay about her Lyme disease. I'm so glad that Mitch's is under control, and I hope that the doxy does the job of getting his drinking under control. (I'm tempted to insert an AA joke here but I won't!).

    Enjoy your celebration!
