Peaches

We discovered a peach tree on our walkies a few days ago.  The house is for sale so we didn't think anyone would care that we "stole" their peaches instead of just letting them fall and rot on the ground.

Mom decided to make peach crisp.    The peaches are all cut up and waiting for their topping and then into the oven they will go~

 Peaches are VERY yummy!
Do you see that postcard behind the peach crisp?   It's an invitation to go to Airedale Rescue in Kent, Connecticut, in October!    Our paws are crossed that we can go!

Hot and bubbly right out of the oven ☺
We love finding yummy foodables along our morning walkies!
So until next time.........

Love ya lots♥

  8. Our tote is always with us. Waste not want not right! We get apples from the cemetery tree and right now we are getting black walnuts. They are darn hard to dry crack and pick but we love their flavor. Most that we find in stores say artificially flavored. An we have our eye on a pear tree but we don't think they will get ripe before the animals get them.
You are most lucky to have found a peach tree.
    Thanks for being a friend

  12. Oh yummmmmmm! You need to go get some more peaches, so you can have peach desserts all winter. We 'liberate' lemons off the tree that hangs over our back fence. They are just allowed to rot otherwise.

  19. We had a scheme in our suburb a couple of years ago in which you could take a free fruit tree home as long as you planted it on the front fence line so passers-by could pick the fruit. I'm all in favour of making the best use of fruit at all times. Good on you for picking it and using it so well.

  20. The peaches look yummy! I am a bit behind reading the blog but love the reaction of Mitch & Molly to Tigger. Tigger is well loved in our home and both Boys had a Tigger when they were little. I read both Boys Winnie The Pooh when they were little and it was a firm favourite along with Thomas The Tank Engine! Treacle barks at things she is not sure of too. The Barn Raising looks amazing and with so many helpers. Big Hugs, Susie x
