Green Beans

My bloodwork results are back and they are normal and that is a very good thing!   I don't have a thyroid issue.   My vet said that I will stay on the 3 omega three capsules.    He thinks that it will help.   He did say that other pups can get hyperkeratosis around their noses so I guess I should be happy that it's on my paws and not on my face.   He also said that it can be hereditary.  He suggested BagBalm and Vaseline for my paws and our friend, Miss Joni, suggested aloe vera gel and also coconut oil.   Something has got to work, right?!

Mom keeps wondering if my tennis ball birthday cake put me over the top on my weight.    I did get to eat the entire thing in one sitting☺

Look what she bought for me.    A whole huge bag of green beans.   Oh joy!
Hummmmmm - they're not so bad!
We saw this on facebook recently.     One good thing about being overweight is no hawk can ever get me off the ground!
On a serious note -  When we lived in Northford, we saw lots of hawks in our yard.   They are very beautiful birdies but they're aggressive and can be very nasty.    Be careful!
I think my walks are paying off already.    I look much slimmer, don't you think?!
 How pretty!
The weather peeps say that we're getting snow today and they're right.   The flakes have already started to fall.  YAY!
And you'll never guess who arrived here late morning yesterday!  Mackie!
Mom says with all of the exercise that I'll be getting, the excess weight will just FALL off me!
And guess who we got to meet?  DaVinci!      He belongs to our new landlord.   Isn't he just too cute!
Your dad says that you need to grow up a bit more before you can come on our side of the fence and play with us, DaVinci!
Hey Mackie - mom is looking at your bouffant hAiredo and thinking groomies for you!
Love ya lots♥
Molly

  1. coconut oil is a magic treatment, I bet it will do the trick... maybe it is better to wait with that diet till the hawks are no longer around... imagine what could happen if you become under that 12 lbs.....;O)))

  3. OMD, please tell Cousin DaVinci hi from us!!! Momma says that BagBalm is really a wonder lotion. She got it furst to use on Cinderella's teats that were still so swollen after having her puppies before she was rescued, but then it was grreat whenever Cinderella got a dry cracked nose. A few dabs and it was moist and pawfect again!

  4. Hmmmm..better keep that weight on to make sure the hawks don't get ya! We have hawks and eagles where I live and they like to carry off their "dinner" too. Mom doesn't let any of us outside. So glad we have our potty room enclosed at the end of the screened patio so we don't have to go out in the open.

  5. PeeS...... I nose you should have saved ME some of your tennis ball cake. That sure looked yummy. I could use an extra pound or two (but not according to Mom....)

  6. Good morning Molly my gal pal.
Whew thank goodness for good lab reports and double thank goodness your darling nose is not bothered by hyperkeratosis...that would surely mess up your smell mail excursions. Maybe when the weather is better and there is no snow on the ground your paws will feel better too.
YIKES green beans in place of bday cake. that is W R O N G on all levels.
DiVinci is a very cute Boxer...mom's first childhood pet was a Boxer named Duke. Is Mackie having a sleep over with you?
    Hugs madi your bfff

  7. We bet when Mackie heard you had a pressie for him he begged his dad to bring him right over. Your new friend DaVinci could be one of Walter's distant relatives.

  8. We are so pleased that all is well and I am sure that something will help with your paws. Mackie looks like he is having lots of fun in the yard with you Molly and I am sure DaVinci will be able to join in soon.

We have buzzards around our garden and I have brought Treacle in a couple of times but I think she is too big for them to get but always better to be safe than sorry.

    Hugs, Susie xx

  10. Congrats on the good lab report. We all get fish oil pills every day and the ones with a weight problem get lots of green beans with our dinner. Watch out for the coconut oil, it's good for the skin and coat but can add pounds pretty quickly.

  13. Wow! You had a busy day! Ghostwriter said she's been seeing a lot of big hawks on her way to work. Sometimes we see a Cooper's hawk flying around the neighborhood, and the piles of feathers from it's victims. I wish it would catch some squirrels!

(Oh, and I love greenie beans too!)

  14. We didn't think there were calories in bday cake! Hope the vet finds a solution.

  15. Yay on the good bloodwork report - that is wonderful!!! We all get green beans with our dinner. Mom gives them to Lightning to keep his weight down since he is such a big boy. But we all love them so both Misty and Timber get a few too.

We bet you and Mackie will have a blast, and soon DaVinci too.

Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  16. Mackie and a new neighbor?!? Your mom is right, you'll have your girlish figure back in no time at all. Do you eat those green beans raw? I've been thinking about getting some for the boys.

  18. Both our girls have the new heftier rear end. Domino is getting cut back.
She was so lean when we got her. Now she is all fattened up!
She loves green beans but I buy canned and put in her kibble.
I would try the coconut oil it is great for all kinds of stuff!
Happy Birthday to Mackie! Love the sidecar pic.
We were driving to church one Sunday and saw a motorcycle with a sidecar and dog. Just got a glimpse. I really laughed I look for it every week but never see it again!
Have a good rest of the week.
