Nature Friday

We are joining Rosy this week for Nature Friday~~

We found big mushrooms at the end of our driveway~

Mom spotted this guy one day while she was weeding.   She got all excited because we don't see many box turtles.  We do see lots of painter turtles with Landlord Bob's pond being so close.   This is an Eastern Box turtle!
We found sumac coming into bloom along our walk~
We found this pretty lily at Miss Laura's house.
Our magnolia tree is blooming again but it's never as pretty as the first time in the spring when the tree is full of flowers without the green leathery leaves.
Mom discovered this moth on the coneflower~
Happy Friday, everybuddy☺
Love ya lots♥
Molly

  1. Pretty flowers again. Bailie saw a turtle for the first time a couple weeks ago on a walk at Gramma's house. She was scared of it. Mom doesn't like them either, but she found Bailie's reaction funny.

  2. Like finding surprises in the clouds: look at that big mushroom ~ does it not look like a kitty cat? I see one ear, the little head looking toward something ... fur fluffed up, tail out ...

  8. What a super set of photos. We did not know that magnolias can bloom a second time. The turtle is a grand little fellow and the mushrooms look rather fine too.
We always love seeing what Nature is up to in your neighbourhood.
    Happy Nature Friday!
