Mom was hungry for Nanny's Goulash, so she grocery shopped yesterday and got all of the ingredients. She sautéd bell peppers and celery and a small shallot together until they got soft. Then she added a pound of ground beef and finally a large can of diced tomatoes. Of course there was salt and pepper and a teaspoonful of sugar and garlic and Italian seasonings. Normally, she puts this over elbow macaroni but she is thinking she may put it over a soft roll and enjoy it like a sloppy joe. Tomorrow she will do the pasta!
I got to have a taste too!Guess what else she bought at the grocery store - a grunting piggy.Off I go to play with my new toy! Thanks, mom!Happy Tuesday!
Love ya lots♥
Duke

that looks ike the perfect food for this cold and gray fall days... and we love the piggy... you can kill people with the sound... sure ;O)))
ReplyDeleteYay! New toys are the best! What’s even better? A new toy that you can steal from another dog! We bought Peyton a new stuffed toy at the dog show when she won, it looks like a bottle of champagne. (You can see it in her picture posted earlier). Anyway, Addi has claimed it, and it is now her favorite toy! I guess stolen toys are more fun?
ReplyDeleteOh that looks tasty! I know The OP KS Momster picked up the ingredients for your muffins -
ReplyDeleteand nice grunty pig - that was furry nice of your mom!

Wow! That's got all kinds of things that we never see in this house, such as bell peppers, shallots, celery and garlic, so I'll have to take your word for it that it's delicious!

ReplyDeleteI want a Sloppy Joe. Delicious. Tell mom to save me some.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and week, Duke. My best to your wonderful mom. ♥
That sure looks like a tasty dinner and how fun to get a grunting pig to play with, Duke!
ReplyDeleteMom would like that minus the beef and served over noodles. She did in fact, as noted above, get together all that she needs for those pumpkin glory muffins. Now she just needs to make time to make them.
