Mom announced that it was time to head outside for "business" so we both got our coats on and bundled up as it's cold and the wind is whipping. Thank goodness for ice cleats or mom wouldn't have been able to walk safely.
My beautiful snow is totally ice covered! The glare is blinding!Mom told me that all this is good for is ice skating! Our weather is going to be freezing cold all week so no walkies will be happening. We are grateful that the wind is knocking all of the ice off the tree branches. Paws and fingers are crossed there won't be a power outage.Happy Monday and Happy President's Day!Love ya lots♥Duke
Be careful with all that ice, Duke! It's slippy!
ReplyDeleteWoofs,
Ollie
We hope your Lady has icers for her boots. We haven't needed our yet, or snow just gets more snow. Lee and Phod
ReplyDeleteYou both be careful on that ice. Very dangerous. I see you're ice skating though. Good for you.
ReplyDeleteI linked this post to Awww Mondays.
Have a woof woof day and week, Duke. My best to your wonderful mom. ♥

ReplyDeleteWe're getting some of that here too, Duke... I was going to drive The Grey tomorrow, but we've got amber warnings about freezing rain, so I'll just stay put. The Grey doesn't have ice cleats! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Ice is treacherous both for humans and for animals. Mom has YakTraks with those cleats on them and her feet don't touch the ground without them if there is any chance of ice out there. Misty won't go down the deck stairs because she has slipped all the way down, and with her bad knees, that was not fun. Be careful and stay safe.

Our ice got covered by about 10 inches of new snow! It's super cold and windy here today and will stay cold most of the week. Stay warm, Duke.
ReplyDeleteBrrrr, you and Mom keep plenty warm. It doesn't look like lots of fun out there!
ReplyDeleteYour boots look cool
ReplyDeletewe are sure you can be the star on ice!!!
ReplyDeleteWe have nice snow but there is also ice on trails and stuff from the heavy winds. Mom wears her icebugs, she has four pairs for different reasons. Since she broke her ankle eight years ago slipping on ice under snow, she never goes out when there might be ice without those shoes on. Hopefully your ice will melt sooner rather than later.
ReplyDeleteYIKES!
ReplyDeleteWe were 'lucky' that our temps were friendlier whilst we still had white out there - but The Snow Thief left us some grass stuff
Take care woo two!

Duke last horrible ice storm we had we were stuck up here on the hill where the houses faces north furEVER. I bought us both Yak Traks. They are still in the box but we might be using them on Thursday.
ReplyDeleteThat is some shining ice. Love you in ice skates.
Hugs cecilia
Wow. Lovely snow....#AwwMondays
ReplyDeleteBe extra careful on that ice, Duke and Mom!
ReplyDeleteLulu: "Skating! Our Dada says that when he was little, every winter the fire department would plow out the park at the bottom of his street and then spray the plowed area with water from their hoses and then people would go down there and skate between the snow banks! Apparently they don't do that anymore though ..."
