Nature Friday

We are joining the LLB gang for Nature Friday this week~~

We had rain Wednesday and Thursday so we didn't get out for our walk~
When mom takes me outside for business, I search for anything to eat.   I am ALWAYS hungry!   One of the things that always catches my attention are the mushrooms.   Mom found a website that identifies mushrooms that tells you if they are edible or not - not that she wants me to eat them- she wants to make sure that it won't make me sick or kill me!
This mushroom is in our front yard and looks so tasty and buttery and it's edible!
This mushroom is also in our front yard and it is also edible~
A couple of days ago, when we were walking, mom snagged this mushroom picture~
It is poisonous so beware!
We also found Indian Pipes!   Mom loves to see them as they are so unusual.  They are not poisonous but they could make me sick and it's not a good idea for me to eat them.
Yesterday, when mom was collecting the trash can, she saw Mrs Deer.  She was coming from the direction of our apple tree☺
Our Caladium is growing and getting more beautiful every day!
Happy Friday and the last day of July~
Love ya lots♥

  1. Duke, your mommy is very smart to be checking up on these mushrooms. They're very pretty to look at but I've never tried eating any kind that grow in the wild. You look very handsome this morning. And there go the deer apple.

  2. Mom is happy we don't like to eat things except for grass on our walks. The only mushrooms we see are the ones on our lawn but we are not interested in them. Sometimes there will be a dead animal on the path we would like to take home with us but Mom makes us leave those alone too. Have a good weekend!
