We no sooner left our driveway when we spotted a mom and her fawn playing in Farmer Will's rows of tomato plants! The fawn was a distance from us at this point.
The fawn soon realized that she was alone and that her mom was no longer in front of her but her mom hadn't left her. You can see how high the tomato plants are and she can't see over the tops of them. The fawn was moving towards us and thank goodness that this was a weekend and the traffic is lighter and almost non-existent! Mom was yelling for her mom to please help out! We didn't know if the fawn would stop coming at us or not and then her mom came rushing by and thankfully, the fawn followed her and they went off into the woods.Do you think the fawn will appear again, mom?Sadly, I was onleash, as always, and couldn't join in the fun!Across the street was a beautiful white Rose of Sharon flower~She asked me to sit for a pretty picture with the Phlox and she didn't realize at the time that my hiney was seated on a large rock☺What a fun walk we had despite the fact that it was very hot and muggy out and the irritating bugs were out of control~And guess what else exciting happened? I got a bath! Don't worry - I love my bath!Happy Monday!Love ya lots♥
Duke

Dude it's fun to know you had a great time outside. And then you enjoy having a bath when it's time to do so. Good thing Mama dear stepped out of the tomatoes and got the baby.
ReplyDeleteThe fawn is beautiful. A mom is almost always really close even if she can't be seen. Glad she took her baby back into the woods. Pretty flowers too.

I'm glad that fawn found her mom and stayed out of the road. You sure look happy on your walk and after your bath, Duke.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, Duke and mom! The fawn is so beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteIt’s good the fawn did not come closer. We want them to maintain a fear of people. The flowers are beautiful and you look great. Your mom can be very glad you like baths.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning sight to sew
ReplyDeleteThe main thing is that the fawn and his mother ran safely into the forest. And I hope you enjoyed your bath!
