Thank goodness we walked on Saturday morning because the weather got dreary and drizzly and rainy in the afternoon and on Sunday morning it was depressing and rainy again.
We walked by the Japanese Knotweed~We found pretty white berries that mom googled and discovered they belonged to the Grey Dogwood Bush~The Sumac is coming into bloom and making us think that Autumn really is on the way!We have Chinese Lanterns in our garden at home~Happy Monday!
Love ya lots♥
Duke
It's sunny here at the moment, Duke, but the forecast is for rain most of this week. This is great news as the countryside desperately needs it!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

Duke it's kind of tough being a puppy dog and wanting to take a walk when it's been such a wet summer. We've done a great job of showing us lots of flowers anyway.
ReplyDeleteThe flower finds are beautiful but we love the lanterns as Gramma used to grow those and had dried ones in her house. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteWe've been noticed the sumac around here are starting their color changes -
ReplyDeleteOur overnight temps got in to the 5x - pawsome - showing 64 here now!
Fall is knocking on the door!

Java Bean: "Ayyy, our Dada made some kind of Greek flatbread thing with sumac yesterday! Although I think it's maybe a different kind of sumac from that one ..."
ReplyDeleteDuke the gray dogwood bush and berries are quite unique and new to me.
ReplyDeleteAnd the Japanese knot weed wonder how it got that name?
Hugs to my handsome Chocolate Pup

Have a fabulous day and week. Scritches to Duke. ♥
I'm glad you were able to get a walk in on Saturday, Duke. You sure found lots of interesting things to show us on your walk.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a good walk handsome Duke, those flowers are all so pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou took a most lovely walk on Saturday. You are very handsome, you and the blooms complement each other.

ReplyDeleteOooh, does mum eat the Chinese Lantern fruits? I have to buy physallis from the shop and it is pricey! Japanese Knotweed is highly invasive and a scheduled plant on the UK hit list. Major operation getting rid of it. It's a shame that so many pretty plants in their native habitat become such terrors when moved elsewhere! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
