Sunday Walk on Monday

 We had beautiful weather this weekend and our walk was so cool that mom wore a sweatshirt on our walk!

We love to see the pretty flowers that are always growing on this mailbox~
The Morning Glories are still going strong~
We were too late to catch the Sunflower at her peak~
Across the street, the Rose Campion was blooming~
When mom cut grass this week, she noticed the Quince fruit.  She had never seen fruit on the bushes before.   We asked the intermutts if you can eat them and it sounds like they are better cooked before eaten and seeing as there was only one we will let it be.

    Quince jelly and jam are excellent, Duke (according to my #1)! We are expectin g our temps to cool mid-week and we can't wait!

    We had hopes the tropical stuff would have been budged out but dewpoint is 71 - ICK!

    My sister has a quince bush and I 'googled' for what to do with the fruits and there was a nice collection of cookables and bakeables, too. I planted the seeds, but none sprouted. I either did it wrong, or being out in a rural area, I assume some little rodents must have found them to be yummy!
