We have 2 apple ornaments on it and mom can't get them to stay on the tree because of YOU KNOW WHO!
She puts the apple on the tree and Mitch helps himself to it and takes it off! Mitch doesn't seem to realize that it's a fake! It's not even real! It doesn't even smell like a real apple! He doesn't care! He wants it anyway!
All of a sudden I glanced over at the Christmas tree and I noticed Mitch doing the strangest thing to the apple ornament and then I knew his well-kept secret to his rapid beard growth! It's not apple butter after all! The secret is to polish your beard on an apple and it doesn't even have to be a real apple - it can be fake! How much easier can it get?!

So there you have it! The secret that all of us have been waiting to hear! So now on January 1st, when Stanley wants us all to measure our beards for his annual competition, all of our beards will be extremely long and we'll all be winners!
Thanks, Mitch! We all owe you, buddy!
So until next time................
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

Thank you so very, very much for my birthday pressie, Putter! That was very thoughtful of you! I sure do love my birthday pressie!
Today is also Jaffa's littermate, Stella's birthday! We hope you're included in that birthday pawty at Jaffa's house, Princess Stella! Happy birthday to you too!
Our friend,
This past weekend, Mitch and I put our heads together and got out our crayons to try to create the best personal ad for Bogie to use to find the perfect LadyDale to raise his cutest ever furbabies! The prize is a book called,
What do you think about this idea, Maggie? Do you think it'll work?! That's a GREAT idea, Mitch!
I think I'm thinking too hard, Maggie! I need a break!
So everybody, put on your thinking caps and email your personal ad artwork to Bogie and one of us will be winning one of those awesome books! Everyone who is a member of DWB is eligible to enter!
I've met some new friends since I've been here and I wanted to share them all with you.

I know what we can do! We'll share! Now we're both happy and having fun!
Thanks for letting me blog, Autumn! See you all next Wednesday!
I'll keep you updated!
Let me in, mom! I promise I'll be a good boy!

Aftet the radiator is back in and working mom and dad will do the electrical portion of the project. This will be an on-going job for a few weeks so I'll update you all again when there's something exciting to report! By the way, Maggie only comes upstairs to be groomed, have a bath or go to sleep at the end of the day so she will most probably never be your friendly neighborhood reporter! Maggie is not really that fond of the stairs!

Now don't laugh - our little Christmas tree in the kitchen is up!

So who else out there has their Christmas tree up? You can tell me! I promise I won't tell!

That does it! I'm off to find myself a whole bushel basket full of apples!

Dad was already there when we got there! My dad and mom built this cupola months ago and today is the day that it finally is getting raised in place by a big crane! You can see in this picture how large these cupolas are! Once they get up on the roof they look so much smaller! This extra wood that isn't painted is rigging so the crane will have no problem lifting it!
This is the weathervane that's on the top. It's an indian!
Yesteday dad spent the day making chicken soup and sausage and peppers to serve to anyone who joined us here today so mom and I are off to head home and heat the soup and wait for the troops to arrive back in our barn! What a neat morning we had!
