Twink's Furry Tail Contest

So everyone must know by now that Twink is having another contest, right? 
This time instead of tongues, it's furry tails or hineys as we prefer to call them!

Mitch isn't too happy that mom has a shot of his large marge butt!

Mitch is an excellent mouser and he is on the case 24/7~

He thinks he smells a mouse in the basement through the floorboards. Do you think he really does?

Dad is due to arrive home any minute!  Mom is busy cooking dindin and she burned herself on a pan lid (no big deal) and she spit out a small cat scream.    Anytime mom does a cat scream, Mitch heads  for the corner of the kitchen looking for mice.   What a nutcase!

Told ya there was no mouse, Mitch! 
We're supposed to be watchin' for dad, ya know!

Blue's Colored Thursday - Bristol Blue

Mom's garlic keeper has bristol blue on it.

Our bristol blue stained glass iris is still in the garden!

Dad's favorite chair is bristol blue!

The denim pouch that Snowball's Jie Jie made us is bristol blue!
Our paws are crossed and we are sending you TONS of AireZen, Snowball!

Mom has had this Bulldog keychain forever.  This is the key to our front door - a door in our house that we rarely use!  We prefer the back door!

Next week's color is coffee!

Another Barn Update

As promised, we have another barn update for you and this one is great!  The barn is coming along fabulously!

Check out this gorgeous fireplace on the first floor!

And this is how it looks on the upper level before it goes out the roof~

You can see that the lighting is coming along too.

Dad calls the chimney corbled, whatever that means!

The furnace is in and so are the oil tanks.   Ron is hooking up the radiant heat!

The staircase railings are making it safe~

This is the lift that the painter used to paint the barn.  This would sure come in handy at our house for so many projects!

Are you ready?  TADA!

There is just one problem. 

See the board over door #3 that looks kinda funny?  It was put on backwards so that the smooth side is out.  It needs to be taken off and a new one needs to be put on in its place with the rough side out.

Dad asked us if we wanted to take a ride in the lift and see if we liked it!

NO WAY!  We're keepin' our tootsies planted firmly on the ground, thank you very much!

A couple of coats of paint and no one will ever know the difference!

Dad has the double barn door built and hung. 

He still has the single entrance door to build.
 The siding looks funny because of the tree shadows. 

What a beautiful October day we have!

Guess what? We hear that there's going to be a Halloween pawty here on the 30th!  Our paws are crossed that we're invited!

Blue's Colored Thursday - Aquamarine

Dad has a friend named Alan and he owns an aquamarine Indian motorcycle!

There's a dolly inside this aquamarine Madam Alexander box.

Mom washed Mitch's collar with saddlesoap.  Turquoise and aquamarine kinda look like the same color to us!

This aquamarine cabinet is in dad's workshop. 

Mom and dad saw Dire Straits in concert years ago!  Mom had always wanted to see them live and she got her wish!  They were AWESOME!

Mom and Mitch are having a tugging match!  Guess who won?

Next weeks' color is bristol blue!

Wheelie Wednesday - My Autumn Hat

Hi everyone.  It's me, Francesca!

Mom made me a new hat for the fall season. 

She went outside one morning and cut down a grapevine and weaved  it into a circle that would fit on my head and then she decorated it with autumn colors.

 
And I borrowed the beautiful bandana that Jake and Fergie brought Maggie on their visit to our house a couple of months ago. That sure was a fun visit!

No problem, Maggie.   I'll share with you!

Dad's Home

Our dad has been in Maine having a good time with 5 of his other friends for the past few days.  They go up a couple of times a year to eat and shop and just hang out and have fun! 
I asked dad before he left if I could please go too and he said, "No, Mitch, not this time."   *sniff sniff*

Look what he brought home!  

Our dad is known as the tinman because he had a heart transplant.  His friend, Marieluise gave it to him as a gift. 

This tinman really whigged me out!   I barked at him for a full five minutes trying to get him to leave.  He didn't!

Mom just laughed at me and told me to stop being such a wimp!  Imagine!

She decided that I needed to overcome my fear of Tinman so she put a dog treat on his tincan shoulder and told me, "Get the treat, Mitch!"

I'm trying really hard to be a big brave boy, mom!

You have pull tabs for earrings, ya know!

Suppose I try to snag the treat from another angle.  Then the scary tinman won't be smiling that stoopid smile at me.

I'm moving in for the kill Tinny!  You don't scare me anymore!

Success!   I got my treat!  

Dad said that Tinny and I need to become good friends because he'll be moving out to the workshop where I spend lots of time!

No problem, dad!

Maggie and I are sure glad that you're home!  We missed you!

Mom decided that she was going to make applesauce - for us!

It doesn't have any sugar in it. It's all natural!

It does have a pat of butter added and it's just delicious!
