True Colors Thursday - Silver

The car keys are silver! We both love riding in the car! It always means fun!Vanilla ice cream off silver spoons works for us! Keep it comin', mom!This is mom's thimble collection! Many of the thimbles are silver!Mitch's name tag is silver! Mom's candle stick is silver!

This picture frame is silver! The print is of an Airedale named Shama! She was Miss Barbara's special Aire-girl but she is now at the Rainbow Bridge. The Airedale feltie was made by a woman in mom's Airedale Quilting bee! She was nice enough to make every quilter one! Isn't he just adorable?!Next weeks color is blue! We're off to see how much blue we can find!

Wheelie Wednesday - A Pressie For Me

Hi everyone! It's me, Autumn!Mom is still knitting mini-stockings. This one just needs to have the knitted hanger made and it will be all set to hang on the tree! She didn't like the way the last one hung when she was all finished with it so she knitted the top shut! Gee, how will Santa Claus ever fill it with goodies? Doesn't this defeat the purpose?!Mom told me that she needed a break from the stockings and that she wanted to make me a special gift! Oh goody - who doesn't love pressies made just for them?!

She got out her basket of wool roving with all of her basic browns and blacks and whites and grays.

And she got out her orange sponge and her needlefelting needles, which just happen to be VERY, VERY sharp and must be kept away from all nosey furbutts - yes, I think she means you, Maggie and Mitch!

And then she started poke, poke, poking like crazy at this round brown thing!

This is supposed to be a pressie for me? What could it possibly be? Can anyone help me out with an idea? I haven't a clue! Do you?

Hopefully mom will be finished this special pressie by next Wednesday so I can show you all what she made me!

A Green Apple

Hi everyone! It's me, Mitch!

Did you know that green apples have been invented? I never knew this before! I have only had red ones!

Mom tells me that there are golden apples too! I think I'm going to need proof and a taste test!But in the meantime - let me get my snaggletooth into that baby!

It's kind of tart, like a lemon! I wonder if Maggie will accept it?

How was your piece, Maggie? Does green taste just like red to you? I guess she likes it too!

Did you all know about green apples? Are we the only ones that knew nothing about them?Thanks for letting us in on the big secret finally, mom!

We also have to tell you all that this is post #500 for us! We thought this called for an ice cream celebration and we made sure that mom and dad felt the same way! Here comes dad with our ice cream! Wentworths was open on this trip! yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Dad's New Watercolor

We just had to share dad's new watercolor painting! Mom didn't measure it but it's about 3 feet square! It's HUGE!! It was painted by Victoria, a friend of ours who is 16 years old! Is she good or what?! The painting is dad on one of his Indian motorcycles!

True Colors Thursday - Orange

It's True Colors Thursday and today's color is orange!
If you've never played and you'd like to, head on over to Blue's blog and sign up! It's lots of fun to find stuff around your house and yard in the special color of the week and blog about it! Mitch is begging mom to give him a taste of orange juice! He's never had it before!This is one of the cookie jars where mom keeps our dog treats! Our gram made this pumpkin in ceramics class years ago and she won a blue ribbon for it at a ceramics show! It's a HUGE pumpkin and holds a lot of packages of treats!Mitch has on his orange Harley Davidson collar that Jaffa gave him for his first birthday and I have on an orange bandana that Stanley gave me! I guess Mitch likes my bandana and wants it for himself!Our wheelie sissy, Autumn, has orange pumpkin wheels and an orange pull ribbon!Mitch loves Mr. Carrot as much as I do! I think Mr. Duckie likes him too!This is the grapevine wreath hanging on our back door! It's decorated with silk bittersweet and orange slices!I got an orange sweet potatoe treat yesterday! yummmmm Next weeks color is silver! We can't wait to play! We love True Colors Thursday! It's lots of fun!

Wheelie Wednesday - Choosing Trim Paint

Hi everyone! It's me, Autumn!Mom is moving along on this guest bedroom project and it's time to choose a color to paint the window trim and the baseboards! Seeing as our house was built in 1824, we need to go with a historical color! Hummmmm, I'm having a very hard time deciding! My first instinct is to go with blue because it's sure a restful color! But then again, we already have lots of blue trim in our house! Maybe we should go with something totally different! What do you all think?

And then there's a question of a wall stencil! Should we or shouldn't we stencil on the walls? This is the stencil on the walls in our kitchen. Too leafy for a bedroom, I think!

And this is the hydrangea stencil in our downstairs bathroom! The whole bathroom is a hydrangea theme! Naaaaa, too flowery and large, I think!

Did you notice my new red knit cap? Mom made it for me!

This is the stencil in the small hallway that goes into the computer room! This one could be a possibility!Maggie and Mitch suggested an Airedale stencil - little Airedales running around the entire ceiling! I think that would be a bit much, don't you?

I'll keep thinking and planning!

Being Honest

Woodstock gave us this very cool award! Thank you so much, Woodstock! This is our first award from a very handsome bear such as yourself!

And we got this same award given to us by our new friends Baby Rocket and Hootie!

Mitch and I totally deserve this award! We pride ourselves on being just as honest as we can be! I will list 5 honest (random) things about myself and then Mitch will list 5 honest (random) things about himself!

1. I don't like to have the fur inbetween my pawpads cut! Mom is forever feeling for mats and it drives me NUTS!

2. I love to wear my winter coat when we go for walkies when it's cold out! Cold usually means nineteen degrees or less!

3. It mades me sad when dad takes Mitch out to the workshop all the time and leaves me inside with mom! I want to go out to the workshop too once in awhile!

4. I like riding in the front seat of the car better than riding in the back seat with Mitch!

5. I wish we could hike up Sleeping Giant mountain once a week! It sure is fun!

1. I don't like to wear coats like Maggie does! If I even suspect mom is thinking about putting one on me, I run!

2. I don't like to ride in the front seat of the car! I much prefer the back seat!

3. I love to antagonize Maggie by biting her when her head is turned and she's not paying attention! It really makes her mad!

4. It makes me sad when we return from our morning walkie and I go with dad into his workshop and Maggie goes into the house with mom and she gets a cookie and I don't! This is just not fair!

5. When mom grooms me, I don't like her to go anywhere near where my *ahem* dingles used to be! I sit down and give mom a really hard time!

1. Joey and Tanner - We just love their blog! We never leave there without a daily chuckle!

2. Emmitt and Melissa - Emmitt is the cutest Puggie ever and his mom, Melissa is a brilliant artist!

3. Mango and Dexter - Mango is one of the most brilliant meditating doggies we know. He and Dexter are a hoot together and of course they are brothers to Hector, who our sissy, Autumn is just NUTS about!

4. Noah and his sissies - these guys live in beautiful Australia and we think that anyone who owns 4 Airedales deserves this award!

5. Patience and her Whippets - we just love Patience! She is a brilliant writer - the best! Patience lives in KY and they got hit with that NASTY ice storm that has devastated their community!

6. Scruffy, Lacie and Stan - BRILLIANT! Nuff said!

7. Stanislaw and Big Pupi - these guys know anything and everything about food and vitamins and keeping doggies healthy. We are also very proud of Big Pupi's therapy dog skills! These guys are brilliant!

Here I was Wednesday minding my own business and posting for pink photos for Blue's true color Thursday and look who was eyeing MY pink bone! Hey, give that back, Mitch! It's MINE! Don't make me get up and come over there!

Stocking Winners

Congratulations to Penny, Poppy and Patches and Mona and her Mommy and Woodstock and Asta!

You all guessed right on Mitch's favorite fruit! Yes, it's the apple! He is VERY nutty about them!

And my most dreaded fruit - really my most dreaded food in the whole wide world is that nasty yellow lemon! YUK! BTW, Gussie - Mitch LOVES lemons as well as apples! Isn't he a complete sicko?! They're so sour and nasty! Why were they even invented?!

True Colors Thursday - Pink

Today is Thursday and we get to play Blue's True Colors again! If you've never played, you really have to! It's oodles of fun! Just let Blue know you want to play and she'll give you her blessing and you're in! I rounded up a lot of my pink toys! I do have quite a few, don't I! I even have a pretty pink collar that was given to me by Oscar the Airedale. He also gave me the leash to match this pretty collar! Oscar has gone to the Rainbow bridge but I'll never forget him! Not ever! He was one special boy! Who thinks this is funny?

Come on, mom! Certainly you can find other things that are pink?!

Wheelie Wednesday - Stocking Give Away

Hi everyone! It's me, Autumn!You all know that mom is nutty about knitting these cute little Christmas stockings and she and I have decided to give them away to 4 lucky winners, which means that 4 of you will have a tiny Christmas stocking for your tree next year!
