That Magic Word

Mom and I are making an Easter meat pie today. It's just us girlz in the kitchen. Mitch and dad are outside in the workshop. It's nice to be able to help mom bake without the little nipper underneath our feet! Mom is dicing ham and proscuitto and genoa salami and basket cheese into tiny pieces and I'm waiting for her to say the magic word - OOPS!
Oops always means that mom had dropped something and it's time to go into the search-and-help-mom mode!

She's being pretty neat today! Darn! I'm still waitin' mom. Hurry up with that oops, wouldya!!

Mom did accidently spill parmesan cheese and I was too quick cleaning it up for her to get a picture! hehehehe
She's just mixing the egg and ricotta mixture with all of the meats and cheeses. Hey, I get to lick the spoon!

Yummmmmmmmmmmm, that was sure tasty!

Is the pie done yet?

After dishes were done and the kitchen was cleaned up mom wanted to have a little bit of "girl" fun.
Awwwwwwww geez! I was having more fun with the baking part of this morning! Come on mom, I feel so stupid! Does Mitch get to wear the flower hat too???
This is my spring bandana that I can't wear yet because Mitch will rip it off!
Mom loves hydrangea's!

Happy Easter to all of my buddies! I hope the Easter bunny visits all of your homes!
Till next time.............

Love ya lots,

Maggie

Easter meat pie? Sounds great! My mom has to make something for an Easter party tomorrow night and doesn't have a clue what to make. Would you be able to email the recipe to my her so she can stop going crazy? Hehehe...thanks, Maggie. Give Mitch a lick from me.

  3. Hey Maggie:
Don't you get up on the counter and HELP your mom? That's what I do. Mom doesn't really call it helping though. But I am a good helper!

  5. Hey Mag, I get to lick the spoon that accidentally appears in front of my face too!

I met one of your kind today -- an airedale! She was very pretty, but no one can wear a flower hat like you do.

  10. I am in seventh heaven when J2 drops parmesan on the floor. I'd do anything for cheese! Looks like you had fun cooking. Did you get to eat any of the pie when it was finished? J x
