My Ouchie Snoot

Hi everybody - it's me, Mitch! I guess by now everybody knows that I ran into a tree on the ski slopes at Mount Hairy Lodge this past weekend and suffered an ouchie snoot!

This is how Lacie put it:

Mitch: Injured Dale Snoot. He seems to have hit a tree sideways and smacked his nose on it. Ouchie.....! Treatment is a large ice bag applied to the affected area for 20 minutes 4 times a day. Never apply ice directly to the skin.

Seems just about the time my nose finally warms up, mom comes around again with the ice pack! She says she doesn't want me to have any lasting damage from that nasty old tree!

No mom, not my head - my NOSE!!!! I still have all of my marbles! Thank goodness my noggin is okay!

Today is a pretty quiet day around here! We had a blast at Koobie's pawty and Maggie and I are both still so worn out from all of the fun activities for 3 whole days! I think we have some catching up to do on our sleep!

Guess what? Our day suddenly got better! Mom and dad are watching the NASCAR Daytona 500 and we have discovered that there is an M&M car and it's driven by Kyle Busch so we are happy to announce that #18 is our car for this year! Last time we peeked at the TV, car #18 was in first place! whooooooooooohoooooooooooo

Update: #18 didn't win the race but he was in first place for a whole bunch of laps! Kyle finished the race in fourth place! Way to go, Kyle! We'll be watching you, buddy! You're driving our car, ya know!

And we just had another surprise! Baby is home!! We are doing happy dances here! If you haven't stopped by to tell Baby yet how much you've missed her, pop on over!

So until next time...............

Yer friend,

Mitch

  1. Hey Mitch, you look kind of dorky with that ice pack stuck to your face (if your friends won't tell, you, who will).

Sleeping Airedales? You really must have had a big weekend.

Your car should have won. Maybe you guys need NASCAR jerseys to wear (it working for the Stupid Bowl).

  14. You two must be as tired as we are! We sure had a fun time, though. We hope your snooter heals really fast. Our mom is addicted to Nascar, but her driver finished 9th. Since Dale Earnhardt won it 10 years ago, she thought it would be nice if his son won this year, but it didn't happen. She even wore her redneck Earnhardt jacket to work today in honor of the 7th anniversary of his death. What a dork!
