Mom says she's pretty sure it was a girlie looking for a spot to lay her eggs!
Poor Mrs. Turtle ended upside down so mom had to do some fancy footwork to turn her over before Mitch flipped her again!
So far our walkie has been pretty exciting! The Honeysuckle is blooming over by our small pond and mom just LOVES the smell of it! She says she can never get enough of it's delightful fragrance!
We finished up our business and decided to go back the way we came so we could see how Mrs. Turtle was making out!
OMG! Where did she go? She's nowhere to be found! I guess she won't be laying any eggs in our back yard!
So until next time..............
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

Mitch, Your mum actually allow you to do that to Mrs Turtle? Jie jie will never let me do anything like that. She says if I dun like to be treated this way, I shouldn't it to another pups too cos they will definitely not like it too.

And, the turtle appears at the time of rain.

P.S. I love the popsicle photo in your header! It looks sooo yummy!
oooh!...I thought the story would end with turtle soup! tee hee just kidding. Have you ever had Turtle cheesecake from the Cheesecake factory?? I hope they don't use real Turtles in that...if they did I would feel a little guilty because it tastes sooooo good!
ReplyDeleteWow Mitch - When I first saw Mrs. Turtle, I thought it might be a rare petrified dinosaur tennis ball!
ReplyDeleteI think I was right about the petrified part! You sure gave her a wild ride!
We don't have much honeysuckle, but the linden trees are in bloom right now and Mommy always takes weird deep breaths when we're out on our walks.
Have fun!
Your pal,
Petey
Quick! Get it back!
ReplyDeleteA stuffy that moves on its own? That's like finding gold to us dogs!

ReplyDeleteI would have acted more like you, Maggie, than Mitch!
How exciting finding a turtle in your yard....My mum loves honeysuckle too
ReplyDeleteDeetz
OMD that was the cutest video. Mitch really wanted to play with the turtle!
ReplyDeleteI bet she went off to find a more private spot!
Love Clover xo
Oooo, Mitch! I hope you didn't scare the turtle too much! I think I would have done the same thing and tried to play with it! Jx
ReplyDeleteGood thing that wasn't a snapping turtle!! If I was a turtle, I think I would agree that your back yard isn't a good place to lay eggs. No offense to you guys, pretty much any dogs' back yard would be a really bad place to put anything you want protected.
ReplyDeleteKaos
Hehehehe! You guys had my human laughing so hard that she nearly rolled over on me! And you got me wanting my very own turtle to flip around! Hehehehe!
ReplyDeleteSlurp!
Mr. T-Bone Beasley
Wow good thing Mrs. Turtle had on her full-body armour! Turtles are pretty slow, but I bet she got out of your yard very very quickly!
ReplyDeleteThat was so cute, Mitch! If you thought that was fun, wait til Mrs. Turtle has all her babies and you have a whole mess of them to play with... oh, invite me over!!
ReplyDeleteHehehehe!!! Mitch now I know what to do when I see a turtle. Thanks for the turtle poking around tip!! Maybe next time she'll come out and play.
ReplyDeletenose pokes,
Willow
You goofs! You're lucky she wasn't a snappy turtle, or you might have had sore noses. But I have to admit, I would have done exactly the same thing. Turtles are pretty cool.
