I had an appoinment today to see the vet. It was just for a routine check-up!
The first thing I did was to get on the dreaded scale! The gardening has been keeping me pretty busy but I do love my snacks so you just never know what that evil scale is going to say to me! awwwwwww, thank you! The scale likes me today! I'm very happy about that! Note to self - reward yourself BIGTIME!
The next thing Dr. Zoom did was to take my temperature, and noooooooooooooooo, it wasn't up my butt! I love my vet! He always takes the time to answer any and all questions that I might have for him.
The next part of the exam was the blood pressure check! Do you see who his nurse is? Miss Oreo cookie kitty! I'm not a huge kitty fan, unfortunately, and as it turns out, my blood pressure was sky high! I wonder why?!
Dr. Zoom asked Oreo to please leave the room so that he could re-check my blood pressure while things were quiet and as soon as she left my blood pressure was back to normal!
I told him that I've been wheezing a lot lately so he wanted to check my lungs! We came to the conclusion that it was allergies to some of the weeds! Well, yes, I do spend LOTS of time outside in the garden!
The last thing Dr. Zoom did was listen to my heart! Yup, she's tickin' away!
I got a clean bill of health and I didn't have to have any blood work and no shots! WHEW! I'm glad I dodged that part! Needles make me woozy!
Time to go home and get that reward that I promised myself!
See you all next Wednesday!
Love, Autumn
Your vet looks pawsome Autumn. I think you should reward yourself for having such good health
ReplyDelete~ Girl girl
You go to the vet? I am sick of doctors since my incident. Mom says it made her smile how thorough your check-up was. Especially the lung check.
ReplyDeleteTry to stay cool. No aire-conditioning? Yikes!

Autumn,
ReplyDeleteIt looks like your vet sees a lot of patients (judging from his lab coat!). He does look very nice, however, he would still get a "nibble" if he saw my brother Riley no matter how nice he looks!
So happy that you didn't get any needles - woo hoo!
Best wishes for another year of health to you!
by the way your haircoat is certainly very lustrous - are you taking a lot of omega fatty acids to make it shine so?
woof!

Glad you had a tolerable vet visit. My vet is really cool - his name is Dr. Gonzalez and he had never seen a coonhound before! I didn't bay for him, though ... I'll save that for a really GOOOOOD visit. Stay off the treats and keep trim!

ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that your check up went over well! Ummm just an FYI...your doctor looks likes he's dirty...like a couple of Airedales have been gnawing on him. Perhaps you should give him an exam! Hehehe!

ReplyDeleteGood job on your checkup. Hope the treat was worth the trip. Did Maggie and Mitch have to go also?
ReplyDeleteWow...your vet visits are MUCH easier than mine are! ;-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Mitch for winning Sophie's photo contest!!!! Mommy says I'm waaay too silly to ever look that dapper and distinguished!
Happy Wednesday!

Glad your check up went well, Autumn. And woohoo for no thermometer up the butt! We HATE that! Poppy is a little better, today, but it may be because the roofers are here and she's barking her head off all day. Mom put her on Salmon oil capsules and some hip and joint care stuff from Petco. She's going to call the vet tomorrow to see what he recommends. She was on fish oil capsules, but someone said salmon oil was better. She's only been on it for about a week. Cross your paws!
ReplyDeleteAire-hugs,
Poppy, Penny & Patches

are you getting ice cream as your reward?? You sure are lucky to not have to get shots!
ReplyDeleteI love this post! I'm glad to know that you have a clean bill of health. It's very important to be healthy coz we Pedigrees are known to fall ill l easily & have more problems. The doctor seemed nice. Nicer than ours...
ReplyDeleteButt wiggles,

Did the vet oil your wheels? What a healthy wheelie you are.

Hey Autumn, never trust a vet wearing a slightly grubby jacket!
