True Colors Thursday - Black and White

It's Thursday again and time to play true colors! If you'd like to play, head over to Blue's blog and let her know and you're in!I wonder what Mitch is whispering to this teddy who just happens to be wearing black and white!One of our very good friends gave mom this awesome black and white wooden heart!SKUNK! This is another one of Carol Usher's creations!This teddy is standing on our black and white bathroom floor! Notice the green baseboard behind him! Dad never made baseboards for our upstairs bathroom so mom "painted" the baseboards onto the wall! It's been like this for over 10 years!This is the rocking chair in our computer room! Mom painted the stencil on the back of the chair and she made the dogwood pillow!Dad gave this hand carved loon decoy to mom for Christmas a long time ago! Mom has never seen a real loon in person before! It's one of her dreams! She loved the movie, "On Golden Pond" so much that dad surprised her with this! A man named Rick Kach did the decoy carving! Rick does magnificent work!

This is mom's Nantucket basket with a black and white scrimshaw on the top!Next weeks color is Lime!

    You've got lots of neat black and white's about the house guys. Our pinky's have a scrimshaw on a mamoth tusk they bought in Canada.

    If todays colour was black & tan you could show yourselves hehe.

    D took lots of piccies of laying the pavers. We're going to post about that next.

    Hi Guys
    That was a most unusual and interesting collection of black and white - even a skunk!
    Poor dad is getting a telling off there for not replacing baseboards - well we couldnt tell the difference! Whats 10 years anyway it is only a decade!

    Wow! you have a lot of super great black and white stuff. we lovelovelovelove the loon decoy. our mom is a decoy fanatic, but only has 2 (both wood ducks). that loon is absolutely beautiful.

    we also really like your black and white floor with the painted baseboards. your mom is so creative to do that. we don't have baseboards in our house either, so now our mom had another idea! thanks!

    I bet there is not one color out there that isn't in your house! We love the green baseboards in the bathroom. Sounds like something our girl would do.

    By the way, that's one GOOBERIFFIC tractor you mama has. Any chance you'll get to ride on that bad boy this summer? Hmmm? Your dad must really love your mama, cuz nothing says "I LURVE YOU" like a John Deere!

    Oh Loons are very neat! Your Mom needs to make a trip to my state and to Alaska! :) Me and my Mom saw some white pelicans and some Mergansers yesterday. :) They were cool!

    neat b & w stuff....love the loonie..we have them up at the lake, the humomm can sneak up about 18 feet close in the water...takes a little while and many dives on the loons part but she got to see his red eye fairly clear, last year. he does come back every year...

    Hi M & M,

    The 10 commandments made a lot of sence to Mommy and she said she really wishes everybody would follow them and then maybe someday there will never be a need for rescue groups but as long as there are mean people in the world there is still lots of work to be done.

    Mommy spent the day with my Aunt Pam today, they have spent Good Friday together every year since 1994 when their sister Frances died,and they talked about Fuzzy & the adventures they all had growing up. I wish I could have know Fuzzy. Glad you liked her stories.
